Back to work.

The next day April got up early so she could take a shower and be on time for her shift. She saw Owen and joked, "Yourlucky my husband is a patent in this hospital because than I would not be here." They both smiled and April walked to the pitt. When April got to the pitt she got a patient right away, a 6 year old male, slipped and fell on his elbow on cement.

"Hi my name is Dr Kepner I'm gonna help you today," she smiled at the little boy coming in. He was crying in pain. When they got to the room April told a nurse, "Page Dr.Torres," the nurse scurried out if the room.

A minute later Callie showed up, "What do we got?"

"Six year old male slipped and bumped elbow on cement." April told Callie

She looked at it and frowned, "Buddy that must hurt, your really brave if that was me I would be freaking out," the little boy giggled she smiled and looked up at him. She felt his elbow ans she turned toward April, "he has an obvious fracture, were going to need X-Rays on this right away."

"Okay let's get you to X-Rays," April smiled. April went to the family to tell them what happened, "Hello I'm Dr Kepner I was the one that was with your son, so he has a fractured elbow nothing serious just going to give him an X-Ray to see if anything else happened, Dr Torres will come talk to you later she's the head of Ortho she will explain everything."

"Thank you, I was so scared something bad happened," the mother said.

"Nope everything's fine, I know how you feel I have a daughter," April smiled.

"Thank you," the dad said.

"You guys can wait in the waiting room, Dr Torres will be here as soon as she can," April smiled and turned and headed to the elevator, Callie had this covered just a simple surgery and he would be home in no time. She walked down to Jackson's room. Catherine and Mellisa were asleep on the extra bed. April smiled. She grabbed a seat and looked at Jackson. He was doing so much better stable, and everything was healing really well. April was glad. April sat there for a few minutes and then was paged. She stood up and ran to the patient, knowing this is how the rest of the day was going to be, and her okay with that.
