It was a pretty decent car ride from the hospital to the house. We passed huge buildings downtown, highways, and then trees as we started to get closer to the house. Eventually we made it there. As soon as we pulled into the driveway, a girl who seemed somewhere in her mid-twenties and a little boy who looked about ten came running out. Along with a full grown golden retriever.

"AVERY," the boy yelled while running over to me. I was just starting to get out of the car when he trampled me and gave me the biggest hug ever.

"Hi," I said a little confused, but enjoying the hug anyway.

"Hey, sis!" The girl said with a smile. I looked at her as if saying "what?"

"Kids, come here," Dad said waving for them to come over to him. Probably telling them about my condition.

My assumption were correct. The little boy and twenty-something year old lady came back over to me with concerned looks. Guess I'm going to have to get used to that look, huh?

"I'm Baylor. I'm eleven years old and I'm in the fifth grade. Oh! And I'm your little brother," the boy said. I smiled and nodded at him.

"I'm Aubree, but you call me Bree. You're also the only one I allow to call me that. I'm 24 years old, and best of all I'm your older sister," the girl said. I nodded at her with a grin.

"Maybe we should all go inside to sit down and talk about things," Mom suggested. We followed her into the front door and she led us to the living room. And by "us" I mean me.

The room was cute and cozy looking. There was a little brick fireplace on one wall, while the other walls were painted beige to accent the fireplace with family pictures hanging on them. I took a seat on the brown couch. Aubree sat on the other end of the couch, Mom sat on the love seat that was the same color as the couch with Baylor, and Dad took a seat in a deep green worn in recliner. It didn't match anything else in the room so I guess he'd had it for a while and refused to get rid of it.

"Well I guess we should start with the basics if you want your memory back, huh?" Dad said.

"I guess so," I answer him.

Mom started first, "well your name is Avery Grace Montgomery. You're sixteen years old and supposed to be starting your senior year in high school in about a month."

"I remember how excited you were for the first day of high school," Aubree thought out loud.

"I remember that. All you could talk about was 'when I'm in high school, I'm going to do this' and 'I'm going to do that!'" Mom concurred. I laughed, not remembering any of this.

"Ooh, what about when she was starting sixth grade? She was practically bouncing off the walls," Dad said.

This went on for a while. They talked about past memories that I didn't remember. Eventually I got tired of everyone talking about things I couldn't remember and decided that I was going to try to find where my room was.

"Do you need some help trying to find it?" Baylor asked.

"Nah, I'll find it. Thanks, though."

I proceed up the stairs and walked through every room trying to find which one looked like it could be mine. Finally I found a room with light blue walls and a matching bed spread. I figured it looked well enough to be my room. There were pictures of me and people I didn't recognize but they looked my age on shelves around the room.

Through out the pictures, one person stood out to me. There was one boy with light brown hair and blue eyes that was in almost every picture. He was cute, really cute. I'm glad I apparently knew him.

"Avery," Aubree yelled from downstairs pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah?" I called back.

"Come downstairs! There's someone here for you."

"Coming!" I walked out the room and started for the stairs.

As I came closer to the staircase, I heard a new voice. It was male. The bottom of the stairs lead to a new person to meet.

I could see who it was when I was midway down the stairs. I froze in my tracks. It was the boy from the pictures.

"Avery," he said almost whispering as he looked straight at me.
