Ashlyn

I wasn't going to Brady on my own will, he bit me and it hurt very, very badly. He said this wouldn't be painful. He lied. When we got back from the council hall he put me on the bed I watched him closely for a couple of hours and then he looked at his watch and stood up lurking toward me. He locked the door as I was about to run out. I flew up dodging the ceiling fan and stopping in front of the windows, staring at him. He was not getting me willingly.

"Come on Ashlyn, it's time for me to feed again," he said impatiently. I didn't respond. If he wanted me, he had to come and get me. He was not going to order me down either. I would fight against my own body.

"I promise it won't hurt this time." I was not falling for that. He was coming closer examining my whereabouts. I giggled to myself when I realized I was in the middle of a wall. I remembered Kali couldn't climb straight walls, she needed corners. I giggled when I noticed the ceiling fan directly in front of me and window directly behind me. "This isn't a game, come down here," he said enraged and my giggling stopped. No way was I going down there.

I stayed up there for a good hour ignoring his pleas and bribes for me to down. I was getting tired, but I wasn't giving in. I heard the door unlatch, I was about to take off to it, until King Ethan walked in. I quickly recomposed myself back into to my safe spot before any of them noticed I moved.

"Do you have any ideas?" Brady asked returning his stare to me.

"You could jump up, but if she moves and you go through the window she'll be gone." King Ethan said, sounding clueless and I smirked.

"I could jump at her from the side, but if she moves she'll go into the window or the ceiling fan," Brady said, sounding just as clueless.

"I don't think she could break a window." King Ethan guessed as the ceiling fans turned off. I froze. They were going to try it.

"I don't want to test that theory." Brady said, sternly. I relaxed.

"We could just wait her out." King Ethan would be waiting here for a long time, because that's never going to happen.

"She is pretty tired," Brady pointed out backing away, he was giving up. Two arms wrapped around my waist, pinning my wings down, they caught me. I stopped breathing as I plummeted back down to the floor. Before I knew what was happening I was face first in Brady's chest. My wings pinned to my back by his lethal arms.

"Anytime, except I don't think next time will be so easy." What did I just miss? Anytime what? "So other than that, how are things coming along?" What was King Ethan talking about?

"I haven't been able to take anymore since the council hall," Brady said. He was mad at me again. I felt my heart break in two. I didn't know what to do.

"Take enough to make up for the time missed and don't be mad at her. She doesn't have much to go off except for that bite. She's scared out of her mind. I'll be back later. I have to check on Kenny. Be gentle with her and you'll get further." King Ethan said leaving the room. Brady sighed locking the door again behind King Ethan leaving one arm tightly around me.

I tried to fight him again as he made his way over to his chair in the living area and sat down with me. My fighting was no use against him, he had me and there was nothing I could physically do to get away. He took all my powers away so I couldn't even use those. I gave up, allowing my body to go limp. Maybe it won't hurt so badly if I'm relaxed.
