Levi sat in his small home on the edge of the woods, utterly sad with how his life was turning out. He wanted to do great things, but here he was.
His home consisted of a small bedroom, a kitchen that was connected to the living room, and a bathroom. It was all that he could afford this far out of town.
Levi has never been very rich, or at a comfortable living standard. He's always been struggling to pay bills and for enough food for himself.
His two friends Hanji and Erwin tried to help as much as possible, but their efforts were fruitless. Erwin couldn't afford supporting anything less than his own families.
Hanji was well off, and she tried giving Levi money, but he never excepted it.
Even when she would slide a few hundred dollar bills under his door, he would mail them back to her with a letter telling her not to give away money like that.
Hanji had a huge heart, one that was loving at that. No matter how many times Levi would mail the money back, she would put them back under his door. Sometimes she would even buy groceries and sneak into his home to put them in his fridge. One time Levi thought she was an intruder and almost hit her in the back on the head with a broom, but she escaped and vowed to herself to be more quiet when she would do it again.
Erwin was the same, he would put in extra hours at work to buy Levi things like clothing, and occasionally, cleaning supplies.
It wasn't like the Raven didn't try, oh, how he tried to get money. He would work for days straight to make ends meet.
Hanji offered to get him a job where she worked, but her boss wouldn't allow it because he didn't own a suit. The brunette went out to by one for Levi, but her boss said she would get fired if she defied him.
Levi told her not to pull a stunt like that ever again and she tried to reason with him that he needed help, but he never would listen.
This as his mess, and it was his duty to clean it up.

After a few hours of sitting in the dark interior of his house, Levi stood up and decided to take a bike ride to town for some groceries.
The Raven couldn't afford a vehicle, so Hanji had bought him a bike with a side satchel.
Of course Levi tried to give it back to her, or to return it, but she refused and said that it was a 'early birthday present,' even though his birthday was a little over 7 months away.
Levi pulled his bike out from under his porch and began pedaling down the dirt road that lead to town. He decided to stop and pay Hanji a visit, it had been over three weeks since the last time they spoke, and Levi wanted to thank her once again for all that she had done.
。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。
As soon as he spotted the walls that the town sat inside, rain started poring down from the sky. Levi groaned, Annoyed with himself for not checking the weather reports before he left.
He pulled up his hood and began pedaling faster. He really hated the rain, it reminded him of his horrible past, and he just hated being cold. The second part was a problem for Levi because he didn't have a heater in his cabin out in the woods, only a small wood burner that barely provided any heat during the cold winter.
