S3:* Olympus this is Lt. Connor of Squad 3 receiving. What are your orders? *
OL:*Lt. Connor Squad 2 was ambushed by the enemy*
S3:*The infiltration Squad was ambushed??
I thought they weren't supposed to be noticed*
OL:*Squad 2 was equipped to deal with soldiers not special operatives.
Squad 2 was given the signal to withdraw but we lost contact with them*
S3:*Extraction mission Olympus?*
OL:*Affirmative Lieutenant, we need you to find out if Squad 2 is still alive.
Once the state of Squad 2 is confirmed we will send the Helion for extraction*
S3:*And if we encounter hostiles?*
OL:*Eliminate them Lieutenant*
S3:*Roger that Olympus Squad 3 out*

Connor a Lieutenant in the organization known as Olympus, He is the commanding officer of the group known as Squad 3 which consisted of 5 men including Connor with different equipment for each person. For the mission at hand Connor was equipped with a full body suit made out of crystanium lining this served as the 1st layer of armor. For the 2nd layer he was equipped with a light weight exoskeleton capable of emitting a small reflector shield and has a small terminal located at his left arm. As for his weapon he had the TYPE-0049 pistol more commonly known as the Cerberus Pistol. The Cerberus Pistol has 3 barrels, has a range of almost 300 meters, fires beam shots, and has a clip size of 6 shots.
After Connor was done gearing up he went to check on his group to see if they were ready for the mission. Everyone was ready and waiting once Connor arrived in the barracks all except the new recruit. Connor noticed the recruit and approached him "hey recruit" Connor said. "Ah, yes sir" the recruit replied slightly shaken. Connor asked the recruit "what's your name rookie?" "T.....Tim Sanders sir" the recruit said nearly choking on his own name. Connor then noticed Tim's equipment he had light armor which looked like it focused more on mobility rather than defense, shield capacitors to recharge a soldier's reflector shield, and a non-lethal gun capable of mending a soldier's wounds. "You're a healer, aren't you?" Connor said to Tim "Yes sir" Tim replied "where is your sidearm Tim? You need one sidearm to defend yourself" Connor asked Tim in a strict manner "I....I don't have one" Tim replied slightly stuttering "why is that soldier?" Connor asked Tim while staring him down mounting the feeling of dread in Tim "I....I..." Tim mumbled "spit it out soldier!!" Connor shouted at Tim "I would rather heal than kill" Tim nervously exclaimed. What Tim said was herd by the rest of the soldiers and all eyes were staring at him. He felt ashamed, embarrassed, and a bit of dread as the judging eyes of his comrades pierced into him. Tim felt paralyzed not knowing what sort of insult Connor would say. "A soldier who would rather heal than kill is no soldier at all but instead a good man." Connor stated. Tim felt relieved and surprised hearing what Connor said. Tim no longer felt eyes piercing his soul instead he felt a warm smile to reassure him. "Now don't be afraid" Connor said reassuring Tim "so long as you will protect us we will protect you" "Ok sir I will give it my best" Tim said with confidence. "Now let's go, its time" Connor said, Tim nodded and followed Connor and the other soldiers to the vehicle bay.
At the bay there parked 5 hover cycles known as the Wraiths. The Wraiths are a product of modifying old earth motorcycles with hover technology hence the name and improvement of handling and speed. The Wraiths were outfitted with reflector technology more specifically in the light category which enabled them to bend light and thus causing them to remain unseen by the enemy. When Squad 3 arrived they got on The Wraiths and headed out into the dessert wasteland of the planet. Once they were out of the bay the wraiths vanished into thin air unable to be seen.
"You never told me why you became a soldier" Connor said driving beside Tim. "umm.......well....you see-" Tim was interrupted by a beeping sound coming from the terminal of Connor's suit. "We're near the objectives, we will continue this later" Connor said before speeding up to the front of the group. As they approached the vicinity they slowed down to a halt and got of their wraiths leaving it cloaked. Connor enabled his HUD (heads up display) and scanned the area. To their right Connor saw the enemy base which Squad 2 was supposed to infiltrate through the rear. Beyond the base there were guards stationed at the main entrance of the base and more soldiers patrolling the area in front. "We need to move, we're vulnerable here if we stay too long" Connor stated to the other soldiers. "Where to sir?" one soldier asked. Connor then began to scan the area to their left and saw small rock formations which were big enough to provide cover. "There the rock formations will provide us with cover so we can get to high ground" Connor said "and from now on we'll use the codes". The codes were their assigned names for their group. The soldier with light armor and hover boots is called the jaguar, the one with heavy armor and artillery was called the boar, the one with a sniper rifle and cloaking armor was the snake. As for Connor he was the lion since he was the one in charge, and for Tim he was the cub. "On my mark we will dash from cover to cover avoiding detection. Ready?" Connor timed their move to the patrol pattern of the soldier. "Ok let's go now" they all dashed out of their cover and stopped behind the rock formations. Connor then scanned the area around them and saw no soldiers. "Clear, move now" they began to dash out of their cover again and reached the high ground. "Everybody stay low" Connor scanned the area and saw the rear entrance of the base "that's where Squad 2 was supposed to enter"
Connor used his terminal to contact Olympus. "Olympus this is Squad 3 we are at the rear entrance and there is no sign of Squad 2" "Copy that Squad 3, the last known location of Squad 2 was just outside of that entrance. Be advised hostiles may ambush you at any time so stay alert" "will do Olympus Squad 3 out" Connor ordered his men to stay sharp to avoid being ambushed. "Eagle, stay here and watch our flanks" Connor commanded "Yes sir setting up camp" the soldier replied "Everybody else move up" Squad 3 began to move slowly towards the entrance with the Boar being in front. Connor noticed in the sand there was something buried in it. "Hold position" Connor ordered as he dug up the item. It was the head of the commander of Squad 2. "PULL BACK NOW!!" Connor shouted. Suddenly the enemy appeared in front of them releasing a barrage of beam fire on them. They soaked up most of the beam fire with their shields but the enemy just kept shooting. "Boar, Suppressive fire!!" the soldier in front of the group was equipped with 2 gatling beam guns and used it to fire against the enemy. "Go now pull back the Boar and Eagle will cover us" So the Lion, the Jaguar, and the cub ran back to high ground to the Eagle while the Boar was slowly moving back while firing at the enemy. Once they made it back Connor used his terminal to contact Olympus while the other soldiers covered him. "Olympus this is Squad 3 requesting immediate evac, we are under fire and is Squad 2 was decimated" "Copy that Squad 3 the Helion is on its way to the extraction point". After the transmission Connor sent he saw the enemy moving towards them and the Boar right beside him. "Boar Launch swarm missiles aim for the ground in front of the enemy" the Boar did what Connor asked fired his missiles injuring the enemy and creating a cloud of smoke to cover them. "Go now pull back to the wraiths" Connor said to the other soldiers.
Squad 3 ran back to their cloaked wraiths, got on them and road away. "What the hell was that!?" the Boar asked Connor "That was the reason Squad 2 lost contact with Olympus" Connor replied. "But why the Fuck were they waiting for us and for Squad 2?" the jaguar asked Connor felling a bit aggravated. "I don't know Jaguar" Connor replied feeling annoyed by Jaguar "Maybe it has something to do with Mr Innocent over there" implied the Eagle "don't fall for his bullshit Lion" added the eagle "True he has been a bit too quiet and hasn't told me why he became a soldier" said Connor "We're near the extraction point cut the chatter" ordered Connor as they continued toward the extraction point.
