Chapter 8 Memories and The Truth

A/N: It's hard to focus on this story since spring break is over. I was really wishing to finish during that time, but I can't. Oh well, time to get this chapter done and then I can work on the last chapter before all your happy endings can come! 😄 Just so you know both Light and Dark will have their happy endings, so that means two more after the next chapter. (If you guys want I'll add a bonus chapter if you can't decide which one you want.😉 Leave in the comments if you want this bonus chapter.) Anyway lets get this done!

*(Y/N) POV*

Me and Lucius have been hanging out, playing video games and getting to know each other better. My memories are slowly coming back, but it's little by little. 'I'm starting to like Lucius, but also have feelings for Dwain. Why are they both so interesting? What's so special about them? They have to be normal guys, right? There's so many questions I have in my mind. And what's worse is that we've only met like, three days, I think I don't know...' I sigh as I watch Lucius play GTA. The smile on his face was bright like his soul. Looks away I checked the time. '9 o'clock, wow we've been together for six hours.' "Hey (Y/N), went are your parents getting home?" "They'll be back before midnight, why?" "Well I wanted to make sure so I could show you something special. But I have a question for you." "What is it?" "Do you believe in angels and demons?" When he asked that question it was like time froze. 'I do believe in them, but I've never seen them before. Why is he asking that?' "I believe in them, why ask such a weird question?" "You'll understand in a moment, now lets go to the roof. That's where I'll show you." "WHAT! ARE YOU INASNE?" "No but you have nothing to worry about, we'll be safe, I promise." Lucius said as he opened the window, climbing out. Looking back he stuck his hand out for me to follow. "Come on, it's alright." He smiled as I came to the window grabbing his hand to pull me out. Climbing to the top he wrapped his arms around me. "Close your eyes and relax." His gentle voice made me feel at peace as I closed my eyes. "What ever you do, don't open your eyes until I tell you. Okay?" "Okay." I whispered. As soon as I said that I felt the ground disappear and wind blowing in my face. I started to panic a little, but he gripped my in comfort. "W-what's going on!" "Don't worry, keep your eyes closed. We're about there." "We're about where?" "You'll see." He said with a chuckle.

After what felt like hours he finally told me to open my eyes. Opening them I saw my home town from above the clouds. "How are we doing this! This is impossible! It's like a dream, am I dreaming of this?" "No (Y/N), this isn't a dream, it's real. And how we're doing this look up at me." With that I looked up only to see him smiling and... what? Angel wings... "What are you? You some type of hybrid between man and bird? Like the Maximum Ride book series?" He laughed when I said that. "No, no. I'm nothing like the books, I'm actually an angel. You must be confused, do you want to talk about it?" "Yes please, but can we get down from here. I'm afraid of heights." "Oh sorry, I didn't know. Here I'll take us down." he said as we fly down to earth and on a hill nearby. As he let go I turn around to see his wings fold back and disappear. "How do you do that? That's amazing." "It's sort of a thing we do when hiding our wings. I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier, I was afraid that you'd be scared of me." "You don't have to be sorry, but does that mean you kept your identity from me too?" "Yes my name is Light. Would You really think I would tell mortals my name, no because if I tell anyone who I am, God would be displeased with me. But for Dark or Dwain for you, he doesn't care. For all I know he could've told you his real name without any conveyance." Lu-Light said in annoyance. "But wouldn't you get in trouble because you told me your name and what you are?" "Yes I could lose my wings for it, but your an exception. Me and Dark came here to learn/study this world. Though I would have prefer to be accompanied with another angel, but since we are basically brothers I was told to keep an eye on him. I have no choice and I'm glad that I at least met you. You make things seem different." "Wait so than what is Dark actually? If he's not an angel then-" "Sweetheart I'm a demon and Light I thought I told you to not say anything to her. That she would find out on her own." Darks voice came from behind us. Looking back I saw Dark looking rather pissed about Light telling me their secret.

"Dark, I couldn't take it anymore. She had to know and besides it can't hurt us with her only knowing." "No Light, erase her memories about all this." "Dark just stop already. It's done and over. Let (Y/N) keep her memories. I know she won't tell anyone about this." Light said as wrapper his arms around me. "I'm going to take her home, she's keeping her memories and that's final." With that his wings appeared and took us away. Looking down at Dark, I saw his eyes flash red before he disappeared. "Why doesn't he want me to know about you two? Is he not fond of people?" "No, he wanted to wait until the time was right before he told you about the truth. He was hoping to tell you instead of me. Come on, let's get you home before your parents find you gone." He said as we neared my house. Landing gentle on the roof Light held my hand to keep my balance. "(Y/N) do promise this. That no matter what happens come to me for help. And make sure you don't tell anyone about what me and Dark are, okay?" "I promise." "Good. Anyway I should probable get home soon. I don't want Dark to get anymore angry than he is now. See you tomorrow." He said kissing my hand lightly before going home. 'He kissed my hand.' I blushed at his action. 'But he's an angel while Dark's a demon. I like them both, but I don't know why I'm trying to choose from to immortal beings from literal heaven and hell.' I thought as I laid down. 'Wait... I can't walk perfectly how am I...' looking down at my leg it didn't have a cast anymore. Moving my leg it felt like it was never broken in the first place, along with my arm too. 'How did he... Right being an angel and all he probably fixed them when we were coming back.' I smiled at the thought of him doing that. How sweet he is. 'I better get some sleep. I want to met up with them tommorow and get to know them.' I thought before changing into my pajamas and sleep the night away.

*Light's POV*

From my bedroom window I watched (Y/N) sleep peacefully as the night went on. I heard a growl from behind me and saw that it was Dark. "What now Dark? You come to force me to erase her memories? Or are you finally going to tell me who you made a deal with and where you went?" "That's none of your concern and it's my business alone." "Yes, but as I was told before I'm to keep a close eye on you and know what you do. Now tell me what you did." I spoke with a stern voice. "I only took care of a problem and now you're another problem too." "Who did you kill." "Emily and her gang. I killed them, but in order for them to actually fall for it I had to make a fake deal to Emily to trick her into coming with me. She even brought her friends which was a rather nice bonus. So I killed them one by one until Emily was last and tortured her until she died. I even have her head if you'd liked to see." He chuckled sinisterly as I glared at him. "Dark we're supposed to watch the mortals, not kill them. Idiot." "Says to you. You fell for a mortal girl." "And so have you brother. I can see it in your eyes. You love (Y/N), but I love her more than you." "You're not having my lovely (Y/N). She's mine and mine alone." "She doesn't belong to no one. We shall let her choose between us, it's her choice." "Fine, but if she can't choose then I'll end you and that'll make her choice easier." Dark snarled. I glared at him. "And I would do the same brother." I said before he left. 'She will be mine. If she chooses him I'll be nothing without her.' I thought as I looked back at (Y/N)'s house.
