Chapter 1
Emma's POV
Everyone is on edge these days at the castle. There's a group of people that keeps attacking us. It started two weeks after my son was born and a week after my aunt was executed.
FLASHBACK
Ian is two weeks old today and I'm still a little weak. Niall is still keeping me bedridden but he is still telling me everything that was going on with the castle. Like when he told me it was time for my aunt's execution.
Everybody was there. Mum, dad, Louis, Eleanor, Harry, Lidia, Zayn, Perrie, and Jonathan.
I felt bad for Jonathan that day because as soon as Niall staked my aunt Mary in the heart, Jonathan fell to his knees in pain. He will forever be in pain now.
That night me and Niall was just about to get Ian to sleep when a brick was thrown through the window. There was a note on it and went over to pick it up.
"What does it say?" I asked Niall as I picked Ian up out of his crib as he started crying because of the loud noise of breaking glass. "It says..."
King Niall,
We don't think we want you as King anymore. We don't like that you have gone soft since your son has been born. Everybody used to be fear you. You used to scare everyone to amuse yourself. No one wanted to get twenty feet close to you. So we are going to take matters in our own hands and run you out of the castle and out of the country. We will rule Ireland ourselves. Be prepared to be attacked until you leave this country.
Ireland rulers"Ni?" I whispered. "What are we going to do?" I asked holding Ian closer to me. "I don't know but there's nothing to worry about I promise" he told me wrapping his arms around me and Ian.
We suddenly heard yelling and things breaking. The door opened causing Niall to let go of me and Ian and stand in front of us as a servant came in looking frightened.
"Your majesty there's a group of about ten men that has broken into the castle. What do we do?" The servant asked. "Gather the troops and fight back" Niall ordered. The servant left as Niall turned to me.
"Let's go" Niall told me wrapping his arm around my waist and leading out the door and down the hallway. He led me to the study and opened the secret door and led me down about six flight of stairs.
"Where are we going?" I asked Niall.
"You and Ian are going to stay underground until all of this is over" Niall told me as he opened a door to I guess the underground. "What about you?" I asked. "I'm going to help fight these idiots" he growled. "But Niall" I protested. "What kind of King would I be if I didn't help defend the castle" he told me softly. "Just be careful" I told him. "I will" he told me. "Ok" I whispered.
"There's plenty of blood bags down here for you and Ian" he told me. I nodded. "I'll come get you as soon as this is over I promise" he said pulling me into a kiss. He pulled away and kissed Ian in his forehead. "You're safe here"
"I just want you to be safe" I told him. "I will be" he said.
"I have to go" he kissed me and Ian again and then left.
FLASHBACK OVER
I was so scared that night. The underground was soundproof so I couldn't hear anything that was going on inside the castle. Me and Ian was down there for hours it seemed like. I was so terrified that Niall was going to get hurt or even killed that I couldn't keep calm.
I had never been so relieved when I saw Niall coming through the door. He had bruises all over him and was breathing hard like he couldn't get enough oxygen in his lungs.
They had only killed two out of ten that night. The others had ran away but promised that they would be back and they were, several times. Everyone is on edge because no one knows when they will attack.
Let's just hope everyone keeps their guard up.
