A/N: Hi there! It's been a while. I've been super busy studying for APs and all, but I whipped up this chapter. Updates will definitely slow as school gets harder, not to mention that I am trying to use electronics less, which includes Wattpad. This isn't a hiatus, just a warning. Anyway, here's the chapter!
"They were so cute!" Sophie gushed to Biana. "I swear they looked at us like idols."
Biana smiled. "Idols? Us? No way."
"I know right?" Sophie laughed. "But it's true. Especially Keyon... He practically worshipped Keefe."
"Did I hear something about someone worshipping me?" Keefe interrupted, walking up to the two girls. He turned to Sophie. "How'd the class go?"
Sophie laughed. "It was good, but one of the students was asking if you could come to the next class and talk to them."
Keefe raised an eyebrow. "Me? But I'm not a Telepath."
"I don't think that's why he wanted to meet you," Sophie explained. "He kind of worships you... You're like his idol."
"Woah really?" Keefe's face lit up.
Sophie nodded. "He said, and I quote here: 'I try to pull pranks as good as his, but nothing will ever beat the Great Gulon Incident.'"
Keefe grinned. "That's... Awesome. I never knew- Wow."
"It's pretty cool," Sophie agreed. She whipped around to see Fitz, grabbing his arm.
Fitz frowned. "Aw is that the way to greet your boyfriend?" he teased.
"Fiancé," Sophie corrected, letting him pull her in for one kiss. "But I just wanted to ask you if you're free next week around the same time."
"Yeah, sure. Why?"
"Well," Sophie started. "You know the class I went to teach today? It would be cool if I could bring you in to explain Cognates to them next week."
Fitz smiled. "No problem." He turned to Biana. "How about you? Did you find any internship related things?"
She shook her head. "Still searching. But it's summer, so I guess we can relax. Although, you two haven't gone on a date for a while, have you?"
Sophie shrugged. "We've been busy but..."
"I was actually planning to ask if you wanted to go to Atlantis this evening," Fitz admitted. "Just didn't know when. The job's been pretty hectic."
Sophie raised her eyebrows. "I thought it didn't start until after summer ended."
"Me too," Fitz agreed. "But apparently they needed some early help, so I accepted. Not that I'm regretting it, it's just a lot of work."
"Ah. Well I'd love to go to Atlantis."
"I'll pick you up around 6 o'clock," Fitz said. "Dress fancy." He winked and Sophie's heart fluttered.
Sophie buried her head in her hands. "Why, even after we've been dating for almost a year, does he still have that effect on me?"
Biana giggled. "My parents say it never really goes away."
"And I never want it to."

"Do you think this is too fancy?" Sophie complained, fiddling with the midnight blue dress.
Edaline shook her head. "It's perfect. Fitz did say to dress fancy after all."
Sophie nodded, twirling in front of the mirror. "I wonder where he's taking me."
"It doesn't have to be anywhere special," Edaline explained. "All that matters is that you're spending time together. As you get older, your life gets busier and every little moment counts, no matter how simple or extravagant."
Sophie nodded, thinking back to the sweet looks Grady and Edaline shared, as if they were having a conversation with out speaking. Edaline was right, every little moment did count. Hiking up her skirts and giving Edaline one last hug, Sophie raced down the stairs and opened the door for Fitz.
"Six on the dot," she marveled, staring at the clock to her left.
Fitz gave her his movie-star smile. "Well, punctuality is key."
Sophie frowned. "Key to what?"
"To winning a girl's heart, of course."

Edaline was right; it didn't need to be a fancy place. Just walking through the dimly lit streets hand in hand with Fitz felt perfect.
"I haven't felt this relaxed in years," Sophie admitted. "It just feels like one thing on top of another keeps coming up."
Fitz wrapped his arm around Sophie's waist, pulling her close. "You deserve a break. We all do."
Sophie laughed. "Well something's gotta keep us on our toes, doesn't it? If not, we'd get bored."
"True that," Fitz agreed. They walked to a bench and sat down, watching elves walk down the streets water rush around them. A few feet away, a small family of elves were playing. A blond mother and a dark-haired father with two children racing around their legs.
"Mom look at this," the little boy cried. He closed his eyes, and moments later, his sister's candy flew out of her hand and landed in his. Opening his eyes, he giggled. "I've been working on my telekinesis!"
Sophie leaned her head on Fitz's shoulder. "Maybe that'll be us someday," she whispered.
"I'd love that," he agreed. A breeze flew past them and Sophie shivered. Without missing a beat, Fitz wrapped his jacket around her. "I hope that's us someday," he added. "It would be perfect."
Sophie smiled. "It would, wouldn't it? When I was teaching those kids, I wondered what it would be like to have kids of our own some day. Is that weird?"
"Not at all."
Fitz checked his watch. "We should get going. It's getting late."
"I guess you want your jacket back?" Sophie asked, reaching to take it off.
Fitz shook his head. "Keep it. It suits you."
Sharing one last kiss, the two elves held their respective crystals up to the light and glittered away.
Who said adults couldn't have fun?
A/N: Aw I love Sophitz. Okay gotta go guys! Bye!
