A/N: So I was going to write the wedding in this chapter but then it became waaaaay too long so I decided to split it up. So this is going to be the final wedding preparations and next will be the wedding (yay!). Let me know how far (if at all) you want the story to go after the wedding. Also- funny thing. I searched a bunch to find the fancy clothes for male elves and it was really hard to find them! They aren't described a lot in the actual series, but I can't say much because this is really the first time I'm describing them.

Anyways, yeah. Enjoy the chapter!

This was it. Today was the day.

Sophie let her arms fall by her side, resting her hands on the tulle of her skirt. The dress was far larger than she had remembered, taking up the majority of the space in front of the mirror. The jeweled stitching in the bodice glimmered in the dim lighting while the lace crinkled as she slowly turned towards the door, letting reality sink in.

She was getting married.

Quickly checking the time to see when Biana was coming over to do her makeup, she glanced over at the bare desk at the corner of her room. All that was left was a small framed picture of her and her friends, courtesy of Dex, and the rolled up matchmaking scroll neatly tied with a ribbon. The scroll that had caused this whole mess in the first place- the friends who had been by her side since the beginning.

Suddenly, Sophie heard a quiet knock on her door, followed by the creak of Biana slowly stepping inside. When her eyes landed on Sophie, a huge grin grew.

"Sophie Foster," she began, taking a seat on the bed. "You look absolutely stunning."

Sophie laughed. "Thanks Biana."

"Come over here!" Biana beckoned for a hug. "Oh I can't believe you're getting married to my brother! We'll pretty much be family."

"Me neither," Sophie agreed, clutching her stomach to calm the butterflies.

They chatted in quiet undertones as Biana carefully applied a light coat of makeup to Sophie's cheeks and forehead. "Here, drink this elixir," she would demand once in a while.

After what felt like eternity, Biana finally laid down the last brush and bottle, swiveling her towards the mirror. "What do you think?"

"Woah." The makeup was a light natural look, set off by her pale pink lipstick and the curls framing her face. Her hair was pinned up into an intricate messy half-updo, jewels decorating the center of every twist and turn as the rest of her hair cascaded over her shoulders in careful waves. The exquisite necklace that gleamed above her bodice and matching bracelet made the dress far more elaborate than she had imagined. "This is incredible."

Biana grinned. "Thanks. And you're awfully quiet today... Aren't you supposed to be excited?"

"I am... but, I don't know. I'm terrified, to be honest, and so nervous. I'm afraid I'll trip when walking down the aisle. I'm afraid to leave my parents. I'm afraid to grow up and be an adult; I'm afraid that this might change Fitz's and my relationship forever." Sophie took a deep breath. "I'm excited but I'm so, so scared."

"It's alright!" Biana placed a reassuring hand on Sophie's shoulder. "I know Grady won't let you trip when walking down the aisle. And whether you're getting married or not- you're going to have to grow up and become independent. You and Fitz will figure out how to deal with that- together- and a marriage is just one more label to add to your relationship. At the end of the day, you'll still be the same Sophie and Fitz- no matter what."
