Cars The Movie

I ring the doorbell once, twice, three times. I can't wait to see Johnny today. He is the most cute little boy out there. I mess with my hair as I wait for the door to open.

I started babysitting him only a week ago but it already feels as if he is my little brother. I love the way his big blue eyes glow when he sees me and how his hair refuses to be fixed.

The door opens to Mrs.Keelman and she gives me a dazzling smile. She's dressed in a black and white striped dress that compliments her glasses. Her blonde hair is pulled up in a fancy bun. This is usually how she dresses for work.

qrHello, Lara. You're 10 minutes early today," she says.

I laugh,"Yeah, I just couldn't wait to see Johnny," I pull my arms across my chest.

She giggles and says," Johnny couldn't wait to see you either. He really likes you. You're doing a great job," she turns around and yells,"Johnny! Lara is here!" she turns and smiles at me.

"Lawa!!!"his voice echoes through the house.

I laugh when I see him running to me. I crouch down and hold my arms out to embrace him. He runs full blast into my arms and we both fall back.

We both start to laugh and he gives me a toothy smile. He lost one of his front teeth three days ago and he looks even more adorable without it.

"Come on, let's go inside," I grab his hand and help him up. We walk inside and turn around to say goodbye to his mom.

She walks out to her red Hummer and gets in. She rolls down the window and begins to wave. Johnny and I wave back until she's out of sight.

"Okay, so what do you want to do Johnny?" I ask picking him up.

He begins to play with my hair and he says," I wan wach a mooie."

"Um okay," I have to process what he's saying because the lisp he has,"Okay! What movie do you want to watch?"

He puts his thinking face on and I giggle. His eyes light up and he yells,"Carrs!"

I pause, that movie is in the theaters right now. Am I aloud to take him out? I can't remember and I set him down.

I pull my phone out of my pocket and dial Mrs.Keelman. It rings two times before she answers frantically.

"Is everything alright?"she questions.

"Yes, um I was calling to see if we could go to the movies..."I slowly say.

"Oh!" she sighs,"Of course you can!"

"Great!Thanks"I hang up.

"Guess what Johnny..."I say gloomily.

He puts a panicked face on,"Wat?"

"We can go see Cars!" I yell putting my hands up in the air.

He screams and does a little dance for me. When he's done his hair is in his eyes and he's breathing hard.

I clap and I tell him to go to the kitchen and get some snacks. I get my keys out of my purse and follow him into the kitchen.

He already has a pile going. There's granola bars, lolipops, candy bars, brownies, and Jolly Ranchers. I put my hands on my hips and he smiles at me.

"Johnny,"I take a deep breath,"you can only take two."

He's about to argue when I say,"After the movie we'll get milkshakes, okay?"

Faster than lightening he grabs the Jolly Ranchers and the brownies. I laugh and shove them in my purse.

When we get in the car I turn on the radio and he begins to attempt to sing. I turn my review mirror to him and I smille. He sees me and his cheeks turn a dark pink. I laugh and we go on our way.
