It's a new dawn, it a new day, its new life for me and I'm feeling gooddddd- Thwack....., Well keeping your alarm as that song is surely a good way to get up in the morning . It was finally Easter Sunday. Back in my parent's times it was a day that was really looked forward to, not that it isn't still  but lets just say we're not that strict about the period leading upto it anymore haha

Well getting back -

It had been almost two days since the entire fire incident and my meeting with that mysterious dude; Mysterious Malcolm ? I think I'l tell him about that one the next time I meet him. After his disappearing act that day I had looked through his hoodie. I found that he carried some weird stuff :

A pocket knife

Blue and yellow cards

A notepad

and a vial of water

The notepad had doodles and other scribble like things. There was something that looked like he had written in the form of symbols. They looked like ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics . There were also what looked like small ink sketches of the sea and aquatic life. I felt bad for looking through his personal stuff but I felt incredibly curious about him now. He was making me ask more questions by the minute and I couldn't forget the fact he saved my life by jumping off a burning building with me which  I seemingly trusted him enough to go along with.

Speaking off the Burning Building Incident, my parents obviously freaked out but after the teachers and hospital staff told them I was perfectly fine they calmed down just a bit. I did still visit a nearby clinic to get checked up and I was declared to be in perfect health, just a little high blood pressure which was to be expected after all that.

Now it was a Sunday and I had absolutely no plans. I felt so un- social. Everyone else was going out, meeting relatives and eating marzipan eggs. Kids in my neighbourhood were having Easter Egg Hunts and my cousins flight home was delayed due to some technical problem, so they wouldn't reach home until tomorrow. I had just gotten up with the worst case of bed hair imaginable and just stared at my unkempt self in the mirror, today was going to be one hell of a boring day.

I finished up with my wash and went downstairs to wish everyone Happy Easter. Surprisingly absolutely no one was at home. There was a note on the fridge ,

"Happy Easter !!! We couldn't wait for you to get up anymore and decided to have breakfast without you. Dad is taking the triplets for their Easter Egg Hunt with the other children at the Old Woods and we've been asked to accompany them so they won't get lost. We'll be back at around 5 pm, breakfast is on the table. Go out with some of your friends and have some fun till we get back. See you soon :)"

I looked at my phone, shit it was already twelve o'clock. I must have gotten carried away writing my blog yesterday and fallen sleep . I wished all my friends Happy Easter and found out everyone had plans already , I seemed to be the only one alone and without anything to do. Damn this sucks..........

Breakfast which had been made with me getting up early in mind was ice - cold too. The eggs were rubbery and the fried bread was stiff. Looking for food in the fridge proved fruitless as well. There was nothing to eat at home. The only solution was to go the supermarket. I was still sleepy so I just grabbed my closest hoodie. I already had a long shirt and my shorts on. It was a pleasant day and there was a bit of cool breeze too. It was time to head out.

The supermarket was down the road after the bus stop. I made it there and got down to my search for something edible. Breakfast was the most important meal of the day and since I was getting to kind of "eat-out" I was gonna make it count. I grabbed two cheese croissants, strawberry wafers, a marzipan egg and a packet of chocolate chip cookies. This was going to be the Easter breakfast ever !!!
