/Alex's POV:/
Geography. The final lesson of the day, thank god I can get out of this hell hole!
I spent the first 10 minutes doodling in my notebook not looking up from my desk, because who needs to know what a wave cut platform is right?
Mrs Bentley shushed the class and began to talk about some dumb project "Right, so you will need to be in pairs with the person sat next to you, and you need to find 3 interesting places in your local area and put the information in a scrapbook, Find your partners and then class dismissed."
Great. I'm pretty sure everyone hated me in this class, so whoever I was partnered with would make me do everything.. I looked to my right which is where this girl called Lucy sat, but she was already partnered with Tash, and then I looked to my left.
What? Has he been there the whole time?! How did I not see him?!
Luke was looking around the class, I guess he didn't have a partner either, "Luke, you can be with Alex" Mrs Bentley said sweetly across the classroom, I know she had good intentions, but everyone in the class turned to look in my direction, and started to laugh! I had to get out! I picked up my bag and ran. If I was going to be named the freak I may aswell be one.
/Lukes POV:/
I was partnered with that girl from the corridor for the geography project! I found out her name is Alex, a pretty name for a pretty girl.
"Luke, you can be with Alex " the geography teacher said, I never found out what her name was, but she drew all the attention to us, and everyone started laughing. Great.
It felt like they were all laughing at me, but it wasn't until people started saying "freak" and "I feel bad for that guy" that I realised they were talking about Alex.. She seemed so nice, I don't understand why everyone's so mean to her.
She stood up, got her bag and ran out of the class, followed by even more laughter. I looked down at her desk and she had left her notebook, I grabbed it before anyone got hold of it, and followed after her.
"Alex! ALEX?" I shouted through the car park, but she was long gone, damnit!
The bell rang for the end of school, and I quickly got in my car, and started to drive home, and that's when I saw her slowly walking down the street.
I pulled up next to her and rolled down my window, "Hey, it's Alex right?" I smiled,
"umm, yeah, yeah I'm a-Alex, umm, don't worry about the geography project, I-I'll do it all myself if you want me to" she replied awkwardly, staring down at her feet,
"What? No! We can do it together, I'd never let you do it by yourself! Hey why don't you get in, I can take you home?" I knew I needed to say something but I'd completely forgotten.. Shit
"Oh no, that's okay, I can walk, I'm almost home anyway, thanks though" she blushed, and stood trying to hide her red cheeks with her hair,
"Oh? Umm, okay, I'd be happy to take you.." She'd quickly walked off before I could even finish my sentence, why didn't she want me to take her home? Did her parents really kick her out? Was she homeless?
My thoughts drifted as a drove home, and then I suddenly remembered what I forgot, I STILL had her notebook! For fucks sake Luke!
I got into my room and threw myself onto the bed, where I really wanted to be spending my life, asleep! I picked up her notebook and flicked through it, drawings, and lyrics, and silly little doodles, she was really talented!
On the front it read:
'If Found Please Return To Alexis Elizabeth Black'
Followed by her phone number, even her name was beautiful!
I punched her number into my phone and hovered over the message icon..
"Hey :P It's Luke"
