When you realize the world has been lying to you as one person
Like when you placed a video camera into your living room holiday tree as a child; hidden, discreetly while your parents were away and no one was around. And you see what we are always scared of seeing; the truth. And in that fleeting moment of a childhood fading, you believe that you will never be able to trust anything your parents say to you again. For who would make up such a story, just to make a child's life seem filled with happier memories and more excitement?
A parent.
Which is something you learn only when you are older and have children of your own, and you realize that maybe you were being unfair in your blind feeling of betrayal, and that your parents deserved more credit than what they got, because they were trying. And that's all that really matters in a world where people tend to complain without even hearing what it is they are complaining about.
