Chapter 12: Night Of Fate

(Aaron)

I knew what Alj was talking about when he explained about his dream. I could still remember everything I read in Herobrine's diary. The girl in green clothes...she was our triplet sister. The wielder of elements.

Lila caught up with me on the hill near the cave. "What's on your mind?" she asked. I didn't answer. Lila asked, "Why are you silent?" Again, I didn't answer.

I noticed Alj running towards us, shouting, "Hey, don't feel like that!" Of course, Lila was confused by this. "What do you mean?"

Alj explained everything about our triplet sister to Lila

After I explained everything to Lila, she said, "You have a triplet sister? And she is an Elemental Mage?"

As Lila said this, she noticed my pendant. She looked at it for a moment, then looked at Aaron. "Why didn't Aaron have a pendant?"

I stared at Aaron for a while, then pulled out his own pendant. (Yes, I took the pendant with me before entering the portal to Radiant Land.) I handed it to Aaron.

He looked at it for a while, then took it from my hand and hung it around his neck. He slowly smiled. (Gosh, that was rare!) "Let our power last forever," he said.

"Let this be...the night of fate," I said. Then, after a moment of silence, a voice said, "Enough of this nonsense!"

Aaron and I looked up. It was Laverne.

(Aaron)

"Laverne, don't you dare plot anything against the chosen wielders of the Incubus and the Ellorium!" Lila shouted angrily.

"Even if I knew Alj and Aaron's destiny, it is too late!" Laverne shouted. "I already reported everything to the king and queen! Everyone wanted these humans eliminated!" She turned to me and Alj. "And, in addition to that, I made a machine just large enough to destroy you!"

I summoned the Incubus. "Say one more thing, Laverne, and I'll freeze you!" I shouted. "Dream on, boy," Laverne said coldly.

I noticed Alj shifting his gaze to the horizon. "It is dawn!" he said. "Aaron, your power...it's coming back!"

"That is nonsense, boy, power doesn't just come back to you in this land of radiance!" Laverne said, rejecting the fact the my sword is glowing.
