Luna
I bow down to one knee.
As Yellow Diamond stands, I realize how tall she is. Well over fifteen or eighteen feet, and has hair that is spiked upwards into two points at an angle. Her gem is in the middle of her chest. Her yellow eyes look down on me, and I realize her pupils are in the shape of diamonds. Next to her is an Onyx who almost blends into the wall with her black hair and grey complexion. She is wearing a dress with a deep neckline that forms into the shape of a diamond, the type of dress that all servants of Diamonds are required to wear, but depending on the color is the Diamond they serve. All she does is look at the ground with her hands folded neatly.
"Take a seat," Yellow Diamond says as she walks around to the front of the desk. I stand up straight and sit down in the chair in front of her desk, looking at the other empty seat next to me.
"I have a very important mission for you, Moonstone, but we are waiting on your partner to arrive before I get into the details of it." She says as she glances at a screen on her desk and I see from the corner of my eye, the Onyx look up as she says Moonstone.
"Please, call me Luna." I say.
"What a peculiar name. Where did you get it?" She asks.
"I have studied many planets and Earth has many languages. I found that Luna means moon in Latin, which is the base of nearly every language on Earth." I tell her.
"How . . . interesting," Yellow Diamond sounds somewhat bored. "Tell me, how long have you studied Earth?"
"Well, more than two thousand years by now."
"And how old are you?"
"A little over two and a half thousand years old."
"Now would you say you know Earth and the layout of its terrain quite well?"
"I may not know everything, but I do know it quite well," I tell her.
"Excellent. You know, you came highly recommended when I had asked for an expert on Earth. Now I can see why." Yellow Diamond says.
"Why, thank you." I reply.
"And from what I have found, you are also an excellent fighter as well."
"I train every day, and must say it is quite enjoyable." I smile at the compliment.
"How . . . unusual . . . for a moonstone to fight. But then again you are one of the few who have a rare talent. You are quite the student, I must say Luna." Yellow Diamond taps on a screen on her desk and types quickly.
"Thank you, but if you don't mind me interrupting, you said I would have a partner?" I ask as the door behind me opens and a gem comes inside the large room.
"Ah, and there he is now. Marcasite, please meet Luna." Yellow Diamond introduces me to the gem. Next to her he would seem small, but I can tell he is a few inches taller than myself. He has long black hair that is somewhat spikey, and has a dark yellow gem on his upper arm, just below the part that attaches to your shoulder. He has dark brown eyes and is wearing a suit with a yellow diamond in the neckline similar to my own.
As soon as he sees Yellow Diamond, he bows. "My Diamond, please forgive me for the delay, I had no idea that it was you who had asked for my presence."
"Please, no need. Agent 51, meet Agent 1478, or Marcasite of facet 8m-33, cut 6g-5." Yellow Diamond says as Marcasite straightens. He stares at me when I hold my hand to him.
"Oh, sorry. On Earth it is customary for people to shake each other's hand when they meet for the first time." I explain. He slowly puts out his hand, and I shake it.
