"Devin where are we going ?" Lani asked me moving around in the car. She looked so beautiful tonight and I still hadn't let go of her hand I was so excited for her surprise tonight, everything was perfectly planned "Dev why are you staring at me like that?" She said breaking my thoughts "and we're are we -" I just kissed her she was so being annoying but in a cute way , I wasn't telling her where we were going "I'm staring because you look gorgeous and I can't help it." She blushed and smiled at me "You are overloaded with charm boy." She said
"We're almost there you guys ." Momma Shana said Lani put her flash on and I kissed her cheek and we took a picture.
When we arrived I helped Lani out of the car Now I'm nervous
~{Lehlani}~ When Devin let me out of the car we pulled up to a restaurant named 'Chakra' (Real restaurant in NJ) It was beautiful on the inside all the palm trees and fairy lights

"Hello welcome to Chakra have you made reservations ?" The host a tall slim man said greeting us "Yes Gordon for 7:30" Devin said "Yes this way please." the host said leading us through the restaurant full of couples and families eating. The host sat us at a plush booth with couch like seats and a curtained canopy above us "Devin this is so pretty." I said placing my purse next to me as we settled in the middle of the booth next to me "My parents helped me pick but we both like Asian food so I figured this would be good ." He said nervously playing with his fingers I grabbed his hand so he didn't have to worry "Stop worrying I love this and it's the sweetest thing anyone has done for me, and were even matching again." I said pointing out his blazer and my dress "Lexi told me so that I could ." He said Then the waitress came over "Hi I'm Alex I'll be you're server tonight would you like to hear the specials ?" She said putting down wine glasses with water in them in front of us "Sure ." Devin said putting his arm around me " we have duck soup, a lamb chop special with lavender rice, and a specially steak and Lou mien special as well." She said smiling "That sounds good ." I said "we'll need a moment ." "Take you're time , my name is Alex let me know when your ready ." She said walking away "Oooo dev they have shrimp !" I said getting excited looking over the menu on the table "okay Ariel ." He said laughing at me "hey ! Ariel was friends with seafood this Carolina girl wants to eat this seafood ." I said putting my head on his shoulder to finish deciding over my food choices.
Once Devin and I had order we caught up and he told me how he had quinces and sweet 16's to go to with the boys and I told him about the songs I should working on with his dad again and how excited I was "DDA testing and SPG's were stressing me out , Gwinnett county is the ONLY county that has to take those it's so unneeded ." I said "I'm sure you passed my baby super smart ."Devin said "Oh Alex " I said as she walked past "we're ready " "What can I get you two ?" "I'll have the bacon wrapped shrimp with fried rice and dumplings and a strawberry lemonade to drink." I said passing her my menu "And I'll have the steak and Lou mien with dumplings as well and Sprite ." Devin said doing the same
The closer it got for us to eat the more nervous Devin seemed to get. I didn't know what was up with him but this date had been the best first date ever. "Devin what's you're biggest dream ?" I said putting my head in hands on the table "To make my family proud, to continue living my dreams of performing with my boys and making our fans happy and loving along the way ." He said grabbing my hand again.
After we ate and split a chocolate cake desert we walked outside and waited for momma Shana to come "This was the best first date I could ever ask for ." I said "thank you ."
"Of course, I'm glad we had fun tonight ." Momma Shana pulled in to the parking lot "hold on I need to tye my shoe ." Devin said crouching down momma Shana pulled up and I went to tap Devin on his shoulder "Dev momma Shana's here and-" When I turned to Devin he was on one knee with a ring box open and a beautiful gold ring inside " since I've been in TBD I've faked and proposed to girls hundreds of times and it never felt real they weren't my girl, Lehlani would you be my girlfriend and take this promise ring ?" He said to me over the pulsing sound of my heart beating in my ears. This was the surprise.

"Devin , yes , how could I say no." I said as he slid the ring on my left hand I hugged him with my momma Shana laughing and crying from the car. "Now you're really my princess ." Devin said still holding me "Now you're really my prince ." I said kissing him
