This has turned into the worst birthday and it's only 7 am.
Cameron walked out of the room to find mom and dad. I was left alone with my instant enemy.
"Hi" I say awkwardly.
"Hey." Shay seemed stuck up. I don't like her.
"So umm, I've never heard of you. How long have you been dating my brother?"
"Um, about 6 months now. I'm surprised you've not heard of me. You seem to be all your brother talks about."
"Yea, we do have a strong bond."
"Hi!! Shay it's so nice to meet you! I'm Christy, and this is Jerry! " my mom says so excitedly.
"Mom I have to get to school so either come on or find another way to work." I said already annoyed with the day.
"Dakota, don't have attitude with your mom. " my dad sternly remarks.
I shake my head and turn back to mom.
"Your brothers home, I'm gonna stay home today. You go on and we'll see you later. " mom says with and apologetic look.
I grab my book bag and keys and head out the door. Yelling bye to everyone. Only to be stopped.
"Do you work tonight? " my dad yells back. I didn't but I just wanted some time to my self after school. My plan was to go to shack town falls and just relax by myself.
"Yea, right after school. Bye. " and with that I was in my car. I spun out of the drive way and was headed to school. My phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Hey good lookin. " It was Connor.
"Hey. What do you need?"
"Well, birthday girl. Wanna skip today and go get breakfast? Say yes. " he begged.
"Sure, where?"
"Waffle House, your favorite. " it's oddly very cute he remembers everything I say.
"Okay, on my way there. " I hit end.
I pulled into Waffle House. The sticks who had passed out where now staggering out the doors as I went in. I found Connor waiting at one of the tables.
"Hey, I've already ordered for you. "
" um, k. We've never went out just us. Awkward? Am I right?" I said
"D it doesn't have to be if you don't make it. " he pointed out. " you'll have to deal anyway cause your with me all day now. Yes even to shack town. I know that's your escape. So if you're planning on going so am I cause I know something's wrong."
"I'm fine Connor. "
"Come on D. Open up to me" he begged.
" that's not my strong suit hun. " Our food had then arrived.
"Thanks." I say to the waitress
Ooooooh. Why is D so closed up? Any ways!!! Sorry it's been soooooooooooooooooooo long. I apologize massively.
