*(Y/N)'s POV*
Hours later we were called in to get ready for Suho's celebration. "Let us get you ready, princess." Sora escorted me to my fitting room.
"Have you heard the news?" She asked me as she tied my corset from behind me.
"What news?" I ask in confusion.
"You will be getting new royal guards."
"And why would that be?"
"The guards that you share with your brother, are requested to journey with your him as he goes to fight." She explains.
"Is that so?"
"Yes princess."
"Well, let us hope that I will get along with them. No stuck up guards will get in the way of the only freedom I have."
"Oh! Mind me, but I overheard the king say that they are kind, young men all around your age."
"Thank you for the information, Sora. See! This is why I can trust you." We both let out a giggle.
"Of course, princess. Now let us take a look at your beauty." I stood up in front of a large mirror.
"Wow! Sora, you really outdid yourself tonight." I wink.
I was wearing a dusty-like purple ball gown with ruffles, my hair was yet again in a fancy bun, and I had nude pumps.
"Anything for the princess."
Suddenly there was a knock on the door, "Come in!" I call out. Then appeared Chen, "Princess, it is almost time for your grand entrance." He informs me. "Remind me again why I have a grand entrance. This occasion is for my brother after all."
"Well said princess, but because you are royalty, you must be honoured." Chen answers.
"If anything, you should be the one honoured." Sora says and I agree.
"I do not understand."
"Since you are a very hardworking guard and good looking, you should be honoured as well." I explain.
"Thank you princess, but that is not something for me." He chuckles.
"Now, shall we attend the celebration?" He asks holding his arm out for me.
"We shall."
We then met up with Xiumin at the ballroom grand entrance. "Are you ready princess?" He asks and I nod. Xiumin opens the door before saying, "Now I present to you, Princess (Y/N)." Everyone clapped as I walked down the large staircase arms linked with Chen's at all times.
Once we were in front of my family we let our arms go, giving a curtsy and a bow to one another. "You look beautiful." My mother says, "Thank you, so do you, mother."
"(Y/N), Jun-myeon, you are both free to roam around the ballroom with your royal guards, " Father says, "but, I will request for you to come back shortly." He adds and we both nod in agreement.
"Hey, let's go get some food." I whisper to my brother and he smirks nodding. We headed straight for the treat table and snatched some appetizers since the dishes were still being prepared.
I noticed that Chen, Xiumin, D.O, and Lay were becoming fidgety by looking at the food, "Here." I say giving them each a plate of food. "But princess, that would not be very professional of us." Lay says. "Are you trying to argue that it is not good etiquette to eat at a celebration?" My brother asks. "Sire, this is actually your celebration, not ours." D.O explains. "But he is not the only one leaving, you guys are also making sacrifices to protect him and our country." I argue. "She is right, so I Prince Jun-myeon, command you, my royal guards to freely eat to celebrate!" He declares. "Thank you very much." Our guards bow, "No, thank you." He replies.
Suddenly I hear my name being called, I turn around to see non other than Prince Kai of a different kingdom that I do not care to know about. "Hello beautiful, good to see you after a while." He says and I press my lips together nodding.
"So, what bring you here?" He asks. "Well this is my brother's fair well celebration and my home." I say raising an eyebrow at him. His face starts to redden in embarrassment and I notice my guards stifling a laugh as my brother smirks to himself. "Hey! If you dare laugh again, I will send you off to jail!" He yells and I defended my guards, "and who are you to do that to my guards?" I ask with attitude. "You are right, my apologies." He says. "Apologize to my royal guards first, and you will be forgiven." I say crossing my arms upon my chest. Kai lets out a sigh and apologizes to Lay, D.O, Xiumin, and Chen.
