Ally tapped her pen on the desk whilst watching her teacher talk about sex eduction for the second time today.
What is it about sex these days, she could never understand why they all kept talking about it, it must be that time of year when everyone pairs up together and decides to use up any condom they can find.
"You will all need to take up to two condoms each for safety in the future" oh please. Ally was sick of hearing the word so much that she just decided that if she took it she wouldn't cause such a big scene like she usually does.
The bell rung for lunch, "how many did you grab" a voice said from behind. It was Louise her bestfriend. Everyone says you always have something or most things in common with your bestfriend but Ally realised a long time ago that that wasn't the case within their friendship.
Louise lost her virginity at the age of 14, she got completely drunk at a party that her older sister had without parent permission. And ever since that day, how could she put it? Louise was easy. "I took one" Ally replied.
"Only one? You act like you haven't even lost your virginity" Louise laughed whilst wrapping her arm around her. But that's the problem, Ally hasn't lost her virginity though. However people seem too just assume she has because of the girl she hangs around with.
Everyone kept talking about sex over the lunch table, Ally kept her head focused on her homework which was running behind for chemistry next lesson. "She only took one condom guys whats wrong with her" she looked up and saw Austin, known as the jock who is always up his own arse, laughing at her with everyone who surrounded him.
She never liked him, he was the type of guy who would use Louise for her body and just dump her and drop her whenever he liked it. "Why does it bother you so much Austin that I don't want a massive collection of condoms?" She looked up at him and sarcastically stared. He laughed "you're such a nun" he said as he walked off, still laughing with his friends.
"Don't worry girl, Just ignore him he treats everyone like that, even me" Louise said as she scrunched up her crisp packet. "There's a party this weekend and the guy wants me to get a few girls in, you up for it?" She carried on saying with a mouth full, asking every girl on the table. Things were different for Ally she was never really close to any of the other girls in her group only Louise.
This made it harder for when her mum asks her about inviting the girls over for sleepovers. "Erm I don't know, I don't really do parties" Ally said as she scoffed a chocolate bar in her mouth, "what do you mean you don't do parties?" A girl called Megan across from her said sarcastically. "I haven't been to a party before..." She looked down playing with her thumbs.
They all laughed. "Well then party Virgin, We've just officially booked you in at 4 this weekend. You will have a fashion make over for this party, and maybe use that one condom you have" Louise said. "I'm not too sure that's what I want" Ally hesitated as she went to stand up and walk away from the conversation, hoping to avoid it.
Louise grabbed her arm and pulled her down, "please for me?" she grinned, "hmmm...ok just this once but if anything happens I'm blaming you" Ally said gripping her class books as she walked off.
"See you at 4pm sharp at my place then al" Louise shouted over the cafeteria. As she walked through the door at home after a long and strange day at school, she sees her brother Dylan sitting on the kitchen side playing on his gameboy. "Mum says you've got to cook me dinner tonight she's out" things at home were never right since dad left, she had to do everything for her little brother, sometimes it was too much to handle.
Her mother was always out on dates with strangers who she meets on dating social networking sites, Ally and Dylan hated it but they were to afraid to say anything as it kept their mums mind busy from dad and his young girlfriend (former assistant). Dylan and Ally go to their dads every other weekend because the journey is quite far and they don't have enough money to pay for petrol travel there.
"That's not new..What do you want then?" She asks him. "Anything just not pasta we had that last night" he mumbled as he walked over and slumped himself on the sofa, "chicken burger & chips it is then" she carefully grabs everything that is needed, preheating the oven at 180 degrees she starts cooking.
"I've got plans this weekend so I'll need you to text dad letting him know because if I text him he'll question me" she shouts over the loud sound of shooting. "Whatever" he replies. Whilst food was cooking she started to worry. What will she wear? Does she take condoms? She sat on the chair at the breakfast bar and looked through a fashion magazine her mum must of started to read, waiting for the food to be cooked.
"Do you reckon mum will lend me some money for a new game coming out?" Dylan asks whilst eating, "I don't know I was going to ask for me because I need an outfit for this part...em thing I'm going to" she takes a quick bite into her food hoping he won't realise what she went to say.
"Seriously Al, I might be younger than you, but I'm 15 I don't care if you go to a party I won't say anything" Ally smiled and calmed down, it was easy for Dylan and Ally to get on. She was nearly 17 and he was 15 so their age gap helped them have a lot of common interests with each other.
Things were never easy with their family, Ally was an accident & Dylan was suppose to be another girl, so the whole family went down hill when mum and dad never got what they wanted. They had them at such a young age that life was never great.
However things have changed so much since dad left, they get along better and money wasn't a problem anymore.
Ally dried her hair and put on her pyjamas, it was time for bed, she finished her homework and cleaned up the whole house. Things must get easier once you do it so often. Waiting for the weekend to come up.
