Prologue
My name is Ruby Mitchel, I have green eyes and blonde hair. I’m sixteen, I love music and reading. I guess I might sound like a bit of a nerd but I try not to be. My alarm clock goes off and I snuggle down into the blankets not wanting to get out of my comfortable queen bed. After about ten minutes my mum comes in to wake me up and it works. I stumble out of bed and go to the kitchen. I get out Milo cereal, milk and pour it into a bowl. I eat it while I’m watching the news. I get in the shower to wake myself up and feel fresher. I get into my uniform ready for school. I get on the bus with my younger brother, James. I get my iPhone out, listen to music and then I decide to text my best friend Sammie. This is how the conversation went;
Me: hey
Sammie: hey
Me: I’m not sure how to talk to Hayden Smith about how I feel
Sammie: Just talk to him at lunch time and relax
Me: ok I’ll try thanks Sammie
Sammie: I hope it all works out
Me: I hope so too
Sammie: I gotta go, see you at school
Me: bye Sammie
I get off the bus when I get to school and go straight to classes.
