The Answer

Chapter 4

They were back. The first fusion of two different gems. Not knowing what to call themselves, they tried to walk around as a fusion. Then, they fell. Down a large hill and into a bush. Groaning in pain, an arm canon's charge could be heard. They raised their head and was met face to canon with the rebels; the Crystal Grumps as they called themselves. "The fusion..." Siam muttered to himself. "Huh?" He called over Quartz from before, instead using the name 'Suzy', and she jogged over to the bush. "Woah."

The two helped them out of the bush, and the fusion started to panic. "W-we're sorry! We know it's wrong-- er, I know it's wrong. But we know! We'll unfuse!" "No, no! It's okay!" But they had already done so. "Need a hand, guys?" Siam offered with an extended hand. Rosalie refused, but Pearl excepted. "Why are you helping us? You're against us, right?" "Nah, just cause we're fighting the power doesn't mean we have to be complete ass holes." Siam looked funny at Pearl, then pushed back his bangs. "There. You look better with your eyes." he smiled. "Guess we introduce ourselves, huh?" Quartz said.

"Hi, I'm Siam. But call me Arin." he shook their hands. "And I'm Tourliminated Quartz, but call me Suzy." she smiled at them and waved. "Why are you calling yourselves that? What's wrong with your real names?" Rosealie asked. Arin shrugged, "We just like Earth names better than Homeworld's. There's a lot more variety here, y'know?"

Arin clapped his hands, "Now, how about we give you guys Earth names? Suzy?" She stepped in front of the two, thought for a few, then snapped her fingers. "Pearl, right?" she pointed, and he nodded. "You look like a Danny to me." She then pointed to Rosalie, "And you look like a... Mark."

"I like it. Danny." Mark smiled, hugged Danny, and they fused again. "I've never felt so..." They contemplated their new feelings, and smiled. "I feel so happy. I... I don't want to be apart. Ever. I love this too much. Is that okay?" He looked at Arin and Suzy hopefully. "Why should we tell you no? If you two want to stay a fusion, you can stay a fusion." They, he, jumped for joy and hugged himself tightly.

"Welcome to Earth." Arin said with a smile as he pulled Suzy close.
