Sunrise. Rosalie and Pearl stretched as they stood finally. They were now on their journey to discover more about this planer that they are stranded-- no, living on.

They started walking forward. They walked until they encountered a forest, filled with Earth's organic life. Rosalie bent down closer to a small stream where fish and tadpoles were swimming around aimlessly. This fascinated him. Pearl, on the other hand, was distracted by some wild flowers. He stroked the pedals with his fingers, feeling satisfaction, he smiled. The two gems spent the entire day playing around in the forest with anything they could find. It was like they were small children.

When the sun set and the moon rose, they lied next ro each other on a hill and stargazed like they did the night before. "Umm..." Rosalie spoke. "Well I just can't stop thinking." "About what?" Pearl asked. He sat up and sighed, "Well, you just seem so okay with itm" Pearl, now also sitting up, faced him. "What do you mean?" he asked. "About throwing your life away." he answered grimmly. Pearl was close to tears. He'd thought that he was over getting nack to Homeworld, but he was apparently wrong. "I was going to live my life as a soldier, y'know. But now, I... I don't know..." he trailed off. Pearl sighed, "At least you're treated with some respect." Rosalie turned towards him, confused. "I'm a Pearl. Blue Diamond probably already replaced me. I'm just a servent. At least you get to do something other than just stand there." "Are you kidding?!" he interjected. "You're Blue Diamond's Pearl! One of the most important Pearls of them all!" "No. You actually made a difference. Now you're stuck here forever." Pearl brought his knees to his chest and lowered his head into his arms. "What about you?" Pearl raised his head, "What about me?" Rosalie brushed aside Pearl's fringe, revealing his eyes, "Well, you're here too. We're here together." He rook Pearl's hand and lead him down the hill into a brightly lit area. He took his other hand and started humming. They started to dance, humming together in the light of the surrounding fireflies. A flash of light, and the fusion was back together again.
