First of all The X-Files is bloody great! There are 10 seasons in total, 2 movies and it came back in 2016 for a special 5 episodes or so thing.
The X-Files is like Supernatural in a way except Supernatural is more, well you know, supernatural and The X-Files is more alien based, along with some legends and mythology. X-Files (I can't be bothered to write 'the' anymore) came onto our glorious screens on September 10 in 1993. There was a featured film in 1998 and during the run of the series there were 2 spin off shows called 'Millennium' and 'The Lone Gunmen' which was set in the same universe of X-Files.
The two main characters who we sorta only care about are Fox Mulder and Dana Scully played by David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.
Fox Mulder was born on October 14 in 1961 and according to The X-Files, he is still alive. That's great. He is a FBI agent who can be a bit of a sassy prick at times. And that's hilarious. His legal father and mother are both dead and his sister is missing. Great job. There is nothing more than a little bit of DEATH!
Dana Scully was born on February 23 in 1964 and also according to The X-Files she is also alive. She is a FBI agent and a medical doctor, no not the time lord doctor, just a standard doctor. Her two brothers are alive, her sister, father and mother are dead, her daughter is dad and her son is still alive. She and Mulder had a little bit too much fun.
X-Files has been referenced in many things, my favourite is when Supernatural changed their opening for one episode to X-Files opening. That was the only episode we thought there was aliens, but no, it was stupid fairies.
I personally quite enjoy X-Files, as being a fan of alien things; it is nice to see aliens murdering people.
