Three Years after Zombie infection took over:

I stood with Addy and Mack, two of my best friends, as a guy giving out weapons explained to us. "Well if availability of ammo is all you care about then 22's the way to go. But, you really wanna make an impression? Check out this smokewagon," he said as he handed Addy a gun. "You'll really make a Z's day with this. Now a 22 will kill a Z but it's gonna be about two, three shots before the things down and dead. This baby? You'd stop a car with this," he finished.

"You know, we were thinking something more silent?" I stated.

"Like a club, and sharp," Addy added.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah...yeah I like how you think. Silent but effective, huh? Okay," he said as he pulled down a rack full of baseball bats and whatnot from the back of his vehicle. "Check this out," he said as he removed two items from the rack. He pulled out an aluminum bat, with one spike on the very front, and many spikes around where a baseball bat would hit.

"Oh," Addy said with an impressed tone.

"I call it, the Z Whacker. You start with an aluminum bat, then customize it for the task at hand."

"Wow," I say. "It's light."

"The spikes are handcast from beercans. They're long enough that you can kill the brain, but can still pull it out. Cause nothing, is worse than getting your pike stuck into a Z's skull. Cause then you gotta drag em to the ground, you gotta put your foot on their chest, then you gotta yank the thing out, and by then, you're dead. You know what I mean?"

"Sure do hate that," Addy sarcastically said. Addy and I took time to do some test swings, to make sure it was easy to use.

"Behind you," Mack said. Addy turn, and swung at the Z coming for her. She got it, and it died on the spot. "Nice," Mack added. "You alright? Was a little close."

"Yeah," Addy said. "Tha- that was a fast one." she turned to the guy that gave us the bats. "Brutal." she said to him.

"Told ya," he replied. "Hey, isn't that Red Hanson?"

"Damn those guys got Hanson? He was one of our best customers. Tough as bullets. I wonder if his brothers know," said the guy trading for drugs with Doc.

"Yeah, I think so cause here they come." said the guy selling us weapons. Mack, Addy, and I prepared for battle, along with the weapon seller. Mack shot the first one. Addy hit the second one, not completely killing it, then Mack shot it. The third one came out of nowhere, and almost bit me! Thankfully, the two sellers where there to shoot it, considering Mack was quite fast enough. "Closing time!" the seller said. They then proceeded to packing up their belongings, and heading out. We also packed up and began heading back to camp.

"The way that big one moved, he must've turned just a couple hours ago," Doc stated. Addy took out her little camcorder, which was used to track everything happening, and recorded the events that just took place.

"Four brothers, recently turned. Found on Miller's road by Cider's farm. Given mercy, May 13th. 3 A.Z."

"Time to go," Mack said, interrupting. I sighed and hugged Addy. To give you guys a bit of background info, I ended up losing my brother Tommy about a year back. He swore his nickname would be 10k, and though I still wasn't used to it, I'd give anything to call him that right now. Anywho, Addy, Mack, Doc, Warren, and Garnett found me and took me in. I was hesitant to stay at first; all I wanted to do was find my brother. Now, I've pretty much grown used to it, but knowing his sniper skills, I just know he's still alive. As we walked, Doc got on the walkie, to get ahold of Warren and Garnett who were still at Camp Blue Sky.

"Mayday, mayday. Calling Camp Blue Sky. This is Doc with Thompson and Carver. What is your situation, over?!"

"Hey, Doc, this is Garnett. What's going on?"

"Garnett, thank god you're alive. We thought everyone was dead."

"I'm not at Camp Blue Sky. What's happening?"

"Blue Sky's been overrun. The place is....on fire!"

"Survivors?"

"Well there was a ton of gunfire a while ago, but nothing since." There was static, so Doc shook the talkie to make it work. Nothing, so he said, "Come on, let's go." We ran, and ran, and ran. Hoping to find something.

"Oh, there's the escape bus!" Addy said. We watched it go, and saw that all the kids from camp were on the bus.

"They got the kids out!" I said. As the bus drove by though, one thing caught our eyes. A zombie on the bus! We gasped.

"Shit!" Addy yelled as we began chasing the bus down. Mack was faster than all of us in this. Before we knew it though, the bus crashed, and zombies poured out. We turned and ran the other way, as fast as we possibly could. We kept running, and running, when we reached a small hill. We ran up, and there was four zombies, staring us in the face. We stopped, but before we needed to even lift a finger, Warren and Garnett's pick up squashed the fuckers.

"Get it!" Garnett yelled. The door was opened by an African American man in Military attire. Not thinking twice, because there was a huge herd of Zombies chasing us, I jumped in the truck, and Addy, Mack, and Doc hitched a ride in the back of the pickup. Mack screamed to go, and as I shut the door, we sped off. Mack fired a few more shots as we continued along. Garnett turned to us.

"You okay Ally?" I nodded and Warren nodded from the front. "Good," Garnett said. "How many more?" he asked me.

"Nobody."

"Nobody?" Warren asked.

"Nobody! I'm sure!" I assured them.

"Donna? Marion?" Garnett questioned.

"No, there was no one- not even time to show anyone mercy," I said putting my head down. "There's nobody back there but Z's. Sorry guys, we tried."

"Nothin' left for them now but god's mercy," Garnett said.

"It's time to go then, come on," Stated the man in military uniform. We all sat uneasy about the situation as we continued to drive. The other man, with scruffy hair, kind of dirty looking, but kind of attractive, asked to the one in uniform,

"I don't know why we brought them along."

"Because they're human beings and they deserve to live," Warren said.

"Hey. I've told you plenty of times to just drop me off. I need to find my brother."

"We're not doing that, Ally. You're too important to me. To Warren. Doc and Mack. You've even become a best friend to Addy," Garnett states. I nod, putting my head down. Garnett turns to man in uniform, "How much further to this rendezvous?"

"A few more clicks. Got some vehicles and a team of killers waiting; should have 10 times that. Should be up ahead on the left. The old High School with a Civil Defense center in the basement. Supposedly there's still some rations left there."

"When was the last time you made contact with them?" Garnett asked.

"Wh- a month ago?" Warren questions. We all look at him. "That's like, two years apocolypse time."
