  "Got any eights?" Doc asks.

"Go fish." Murphy replies.

"That's the first time I've ever seen anyone cheat at Go-Fish," I say.

"It's a gift," Murphy says. "What the hell is taking so long?"

"Fuel service just ain't what it used to be. Garnett and Warren know what they're doing," Doc states.

"Too many Z's around here," I say.

"It's freaking me out," Murphy replies. "I've got a phobia, you know, ever since I got bit."

"I've been meanin' to ask you about that. So, these bites-"

"Wait. What kinda doctor are you, anyway?"

"Not, really a doctor. More of a, amateur pharmacologist." It was silent for a moment. Then Doc stated he had to go to the bathroom. Once he was gone, Murphy and I kind of looked at each other and sighed.

"You asked Doc about his doctoring skills. What about you? How'd you get to be the savior of the universe?"

"You really wanna know?" I nod. "Truth is, for a guy who's been wrongly convicted, I'm actually very civic minded. I volunteered. It wasn't easy, but somebody had to do it."

"Jesus, I would never let ANYONE do that to me."

"Yeah, well, it wasn't about me. You know, you do what you gotta do. For the kids."

"So wait, you got the vaccine. Then you were bitten?"

"Eight times."

"Good god."

"If you say so."

"That must've been horrible."

"Must've been? Luckily I blacked out, so, I don't, remember any of it, uh, somehow, Hammond rescued me. Better late then never I guess. And, been on the run ever since."

"Now Hammond's dead too." Murphy nods.

"Yep. Good times." I gasp when I see a Zombie. Murphy jumps a little but motions me to get behind him. I get in the back seat, and Doc comes running back.

"Hold on, I'll ward them away," he says, referring to the two outside our car. I feel like I'm gasping for air. Murphy looks at me.

"Hey, Ally." I keep gasping, like I couldn't breathe at all. Murphy grabs my hand and tries to calm me. "Listen to my voice and try to breathe. Please." I'm trying to listen, but apparently, Doc trying to hoard them away didn't work. They just kept coming. And coming.

"I can't....breathe....."

"Hold on. We'll get out of here." he then got in the front, and began driving.

"Murphy.....no....." but before I could say anything else, I blacked out.
