I literally ran off to the water as soon as we stepped on the sand. The beach wasn't as crowded as I expected, there were quite few people there. I shivered and screamed in joy as my feet hit the cold sea water. I danced and splashed the water at Andy who squealed and splashed water back at me. Just then a giant wave hit us and we shrieked, running back to the shore. Ryan laughed at us and then pulled the both us of us back again, by our hands, to the water. I took a dive and played with Ryan and Zoe for a while. Pausing for a while, I looked at the both of them and smiled. After so many weeks, Andy was finally giggling and laughing. I walked back to the shore and looked for my bag that contained my towel and an extra pink tank dress. I finally spotted it, resting on the sand, next to Logan's feet, who was sitting on a wooden beach lounge chair and working on his laptop. I walked to him, snatched my bag and sat on the other beach lounge next to him. I pulled out my towel, dried my hair, and wiped my body.
"Nice abs," he commented. I looked at him, as he smiled at the laptop screen. His back was relaxing against the chair as he typed on the laptop on his lap. My eyes went down his chest to his well toned abs. It suited him with his lightly tanned skin. His arms looked quite strong as well. Just then, I met up with his gaze.
"Like what you see?" He smirked. I turned my head away, blushing furiously. God I hated him so much. I got up and turned to him again.
"Well, I've seen better, " I said, shrugging, which made him cocky an eyebrow. "Like I said before, Logan, you're just not my type."
"Watch that mouth of yours, Thatcher," he warned, in a husky tone. "You know I'll love to shut it, but you're lucky we're in a public place." His icy blue eyes burned in mine. Heat crept to my cheeks and chest.
"Fuck you, Logan."
"Sure," he shrugged, grinning. I frowned at him, confused.
"I mean if you wanna fuck me, sure."
"In your dreams, asshole."
He chuckled and I jogged off to the water. God he was cocky. But he's delicious. Wait what? I shook my head and hit the water.
We went back to the hotel and changed our clothes. Logan said he knew a restaurant where we could watch sun go down by the beach from the rooftop of the restuarant. We had two hours until sunset so we decided to kill time by shopping at the local shopping malls. Spain was indeed a beautiful place. The streets were well paved and teeming with many other tourists and civilians. The historic buldings towered over us. People drank and ate at the outdoor cafes. We entered a mall and Andy and I bought some clothes, necklaces, earrings and hats. We roamed around the mall for a while. Ryan was, as usual, walking next to Andy. I intentionally walked slowly, letting the two of them walk by themselves ahead of me. I smiled at them but it fell as soon as I felt an arm snake around my waist. I looked up at the tall figure next to me and found Logan smiling. I pinched his arm and he retracted it back immediately, grimacing. "Well, ow. So much for misreading the situation."
"What do you mean?"
"Well I thought you were intentionally walking behind them."
"I am."
He grinned.
My cheeks grew warm. "Not for you, prick."
He pouted, the disappointment clear on his face. "Then?"
"Well, I just wanted to leave Ryan and Andy alone."
"Oh you ship them too?" He asked, his eyes glinting with excitement.
"Um yeah." It sounded more like a question than a statement.
He nodded. "I ship them too."
Wow. I frowned. "You think Ryan has feelings for Andy?"
"Well it's kinda obvious to me the way he used to drones on and on, when we were in college, about Andy, but Ryan won't admit it. Perhaps he's to scared to get burned on his face by me," he said, grinning. Typical of him. I walked slowly, staring at my shoes. So even Logan agreed that w
Ryan had feelings for Andy but how could I possibly make Andy see Ryan in other way?
"It would be nice, wouldn't it?"
I looked up at Logan and followed his gaze at Ryan and Andy walking forward.
"Yeah," I said after a pause.
Logan looked down at me, smiling. "Look, Thatcher. I know you hate me and the feeling is mutual. But we both want the same thing. So, I think we should work together, 'cause I'm pretty damn sure that we'll get nowhere if we work individually."
I opened my mouth but Logan raised his index finger at me. "Think about it carefully, Thatcher."
I closed my mouth. It's not like I've never attempted to bring my sister and Ryan together. I had tried like a billion times, failing each time. Of course, the reason was that Andy was deeply in love with Al. Obviously, she wouldn't see Ryan in that way. But now, the opportunity was perfect. Al was out of the picture and Ryan was in, with his dashing smile and manly scruff that he had just grown and Andy was weak and recovering from her heartbreak. This was absolutely perfect but we're in Spain, not in New York, where I could call up my friend, make a booking at an expensive restuarant, get some discount by flirting, somehow bring Ryan and Andy in, then ditch them both by saying that I had an important meeting and leave them both alone. This was Spain and I, apparently, had no friend to like get a discount from. Realization hit me. That's where Logan comes in. He knew the perfect places and make my plan more perfect. I looked up at him. He was smiling at me, hopefully. This piece of shit had almost destroyed my career. How could I work with him?
I groaned in frustration. "Fine." I had no other choice really.
He chuckled. "I'll be looking forward to work with you, Ms. Thatcher."
