My eyes fluttered open I can't seem to be able to see anything from my left, I felt the door push against my hip, someone is trying to get in.
I forced myself to move enough to see a broad shouldered, dark haird young man squeeze through the gap, is this really happening I ask myself or is this just a dream, Leon crouches by me and starts to talk to me but I can't seem to hear him he speaks again but everything seems to get lost before it reaches me.
"Leon" I say weakly as I point with my finger at my dad behind, he tapped his left foot angrily and giving us an evil glare whilst slapping the baseball bat against his hand.
Leon turned his head slightly just in time to duck his first swing, my dad hit lower and caught the crown of Leon's head with a loud crack, Leon's body went limp and his body slumped on the ground blood leaked out of the back of his head.
I managed to sit up my left temple stung and I felt like I was going to be sick, I shuffled slowly towards Leon so I could look down on him I still couldn't see out of my left eye and my right eye started to become blurry.
"DAD STOP" I heard Josh's voice scream, I looked up to make out my dad' s outline standing in front of me.
I curled over Leon's body to try and protect him "STOP PLEASE" I screamed, which made my ears ring, but my dad just laughed at my suffering, he then smashed the metal bat hard against my back the pain shot through me as I felt a piece my spine shatter.
Pain washed over me as darkness took over my vision.
