We were sitting in Vic's car, I was in the passenger seat and Vic was driving, his eyes were glued onto the road as we sat in comfortable silence. It was night; my body was beginning to feel weak and my eyes were drooping. I rested my head onto the window and let the subtle movements of the car send me to sleep.

I was awoken by a hand lightly patting my shoulder and a sweet voice calling my name.
"Kellin...." Vic whispered.
I stirred slightly before waking up and turning to face him. I probably looked a mess with my hair covering a large portion of my face. I murmured a sleepy response.
"We're here. Come on, let's get you inside so you can sleep."
That idea sounded pretty good right now. Begrudgingly I opened the side door and slid my limp body out of the car.

I walked slowly up to the entrance of Vic's house and tilted my head up to look at his house. Granted, it was large, but in my tired state all I cared about was finding a warm bed to sleep in. Vic fumbled around in his pocket for a key before pulling one out and unlocking the door.

Inside, I was met with a kitchen to my left and a long sofa facing a large TV to my right. The kitchen had a breakfast bar in front of the counters along the wall behind it. Vic walked past me, heading up a spiralling set of stairs and standing at the top.
"Come on! You can check my house out in the morning, but honestly it's not much to look at."
His house was actually amazing, but he had a point. I followed him up the stairs and he led me along a corridor. The corridor was illuminated by dimmed yellow lights hugging the walls and various paintings and photographs of who I guessed were Vic's family. Vic stopped outside a white door at the end of the corridor and opened it.
"I'll tell you where everything is tomorrow, for now you need to get some rest so I'll leave you to it."
"Okay, thank you so much."
Vic smiled. We said our goodnight's and I was left to my own devices.

I shut the door behind me and looked around the room. It was small in comparison to all the other rooms but was still relatively big. The walls were a pastel blue colour which matched the colour of the carpet. A large queen sized bed was situated along the wall to my left and a closet was on the wall to my right. To my surprise, along the back wall was a large, glass sliding door which led out to a balcony. Curiosity led my to open the doors and stand on the balcony. Leaning over the railings, I gazed down at the ocean beneath me. It was somewhat hypnotic. I could have stayed out here all night but I need to sleep.

I headed back into the room. Not bothering to brush my teeth, I stripped down to my boxers and threw my clothes onto the floor. Pulling back the covers, I slid into the bed. As soon as my head his the soft pillow I fell into a peaceful sleep.

I was woken up the next day by a loud knocking on the front door. I reached over to look at my phone, it was 7:00am. I ran my fingers through my messy hair and looked around the room. A white robe was hanging on the back of my door, I decided to put it on and walk out to see who was at the door.

I was standing at the top of the stairs, looking down at Vic speaking to somebody at the door. He looked tired. I decided to listen to the conversation.

"Gabe, you know I have kellin staying here..."

"What has he ever done for you? You have no reason to be so welcoming to him."

Why had Gabe come to Vic's house?

"Kellin is my friend, he doesn't need to repay me..."

"Well, at the moment Alex is more important than kellin. He's the bands new singer and quite frankly he's a lot more reliable than kellin."

Vic signed and rested his hand on his hip.

"Alex can stay on the sofa? If he really is desperate for somewhere to stay then that should be fine."
