Man, you can't imagine how happy I was that I could go on their concert. After the fiasco from the last concert I was on - I ended up drunk like that last pirate, I had trouble convincing my parents to let me go. Not that it mattered I was mature already, but still lived under their roof. Okay but let's go back to that specific concert.

It was in Helsinki. Yes I travelled there from Stockholm and no my parents didn't mind. To them it was like I didn't even exist anyway. And they were playing Nightwish. I was listening to them for quite a while, around three years to be exact. But I had never got to their concert, just because they were sold out all the time. However, this time, I got there thanks to my friend, whom I was thanking on my knees, literally. What's more I was in the first few front rows - right under the stage!

I was ecstatic about them coming on stage and playing live. Jumping in one place for hours as I waited. And I have to say all of them were looking good: Tuomas, Jukka, even Tarja. But best of all was Emppu. And you should have been there when they started playing! It was amazing! The music was far better live than in my crappy headphones so there was no surprise in me enjoying myself. Aaand the fact I didn't really move my sight from Emppu.

He was running from one side of the stage to the other and his solos were without a single mistake. But when it was nearing the middle of the concert something that I wouldn't want to go through ever again happened, yet in the end I realised it only caused happiness in my life. Some stupid guy aimed a gun at the band and with my so called "luck" I managed to get in the way of the bullet. Everyone was running in every possible direction and it was chaos there. No one seemed to notice me, as the wave of pain shot right through my shoulder (at least it wasn't something vital), and fell on my knees clutching it. I could feel the warm blood seep out of my shirt and through my fingers.

It didn't take long till people formed a circle around me. Some of them even shouting something at the bodyguards which I didn't quite catch still trying to breathe out the pain. I could feel the tears streaming down my cheeks. Suddenly, I was lifted, which made the pain intensify. Groaning I didn't care who carried me, I just wanted the pain to end. At that time I thought that this was the worst day of my life, all I wanted to do was to black out so I didn't have to feel anything. My wish was granted few minutes later. The last thing I remembered were the flickering lights of the ambulance and then felt as they pierced my skin at the elbow.

I got back to the conscious world only when I was in a big white room. I was lying on one of the four beds; the rest of them were empty. A small window with bars from the outside was open and facing the door. Moving my head backwards I could see 3 machines which were connected directly to my person.

"Great." I thought. My parents won't want to see me now. I was sure as hell about it. Still I was wondering if anyone will come here. This wasn't my first time I ended on the hospital bed. The last time was just couple of months ago when they were emptying my stomach, due to alcohol overdose.

After to me unknown time; they didn't even bother to put a clock in here; which I spent by staring at the ceiling or looking out of the window, a doctor appeared in the doorway with a leaf of paper which looked kind of similar to an envelope.

"This is what your parents sent to you." He wasn't very old, maybe just graduated from school as he sat next to me and handed me the envelope. In it, there were some money, keys and a little note that run along like this:

"Here are the keys from grandad's house in Kittee. Don't you dare come back home."

"How.." I tried my best to find cultivated words for this letter. "Nice. Can I leave now?" The doctor smiled at me, but god knows what he thought of me, because even I could tell it wasn't honest smile.

"I would say yes, yes you can. But watch out for that shoulder, hm?" he said softly and as soon as he said the word yes I leapt from my bed so fast that my head spun and my eyes were losing focus. The doc helped back on my bed and shook his head in disapproval. It was then when I heard the soft knock on my door.

Looking up I immediately recognised the fair hair which lined the beautiful face. It's prominent feature were the ocean blue eyes. My eyes widened at the sight and the doctor almost choked on his own saliva. He quickly stood up and left us alone which I didn't quite like. My eyes were cast downward focusing on my fidgeting fingers. That was until I heard his voice.

"Hei.." Emppu cleared his voice as he walked closer to me. My head shot up and our eyes locked. I was just staring. I couldn't believe he was in here, my crush for over three years, was standing near me. "I just came here to thank you for saving my life." He said softly producing a beautiful bouquet of red tulips from behind his back.

My mouth open wide and it took me good few seconds to grasp at what was happening. "Um...you are welcome." I stuttered, my cheeks flushing a deep red colour as he handed me the flowers. I don't think it would be wise to tell him that it was all a coincidence don't you think? Even if my shoulder protested I settled the envelope with the keys and little note on the bed and reached out with both of my hands to take the bouquet from his hands. I didn't believe the sayings that you will get a head spin whenever you move after you got shot, but let me tell you it's true. And it hurt like hell. I had to do a lot not to let my eyes betray me as tears welled in them.

He crouched down to take the note in his hands. I haven't noticed that it had fallen from the bed. Feeling embarrassed I snatched it out of his hands before he could read it, but apparently it was too late because he asked me if I needed a lift. Blushing I licked my lips looking at the flowers.

"I uh..yeah if that's no bother." I mumbled glancing up at him. "I could even pay you the gas money." I offered feeling stupid for taking him on the offer. We were in Helsinki that's few hours ride to Kittee!

He laughed it off shaking his head. He had a lovely laugh I had to say, it made me all giddy inside. Offering me his hand he motioned with the head toward the door. "Let's get out of here then."

(A/N: Let me know what you think!  I'm planning on switching perspectives from the main character to Emppu and back. Hope you all liked it!)
