Getting better

I woke up to beeping sounds... If that's my alarm I'm gonna cry.. I don't want to wake up yet. I looked around me and noticed that there were many machines around me and that I was in some strange room. Was I still in the hospital? The last thing I remember is shouting for Jared because I felt super dizzy.
I carried on looking around the room and saw him sat there in a chair at the side of my bed asleep. I've gotta say he does look quite cute whilst he's sleeping. I watched him for a few moments before I heard someone come through the door diverting my attention from Jared to them.
"Hello dear" a nurse said with a friendly smile as she came in to the room. She was about 30 years old, small, she had brown hair that was tied back into a ponytail. "How are you feeling?" She asked concerned.
"I feel fine thank you, apart from this headache." I said reaching up and running my head. "Will I be okay?" I questioned .
"Yes dear, you should be fine. When you came in you had a large gash across the back of your head that needed 6 stitches as well as a minor concussion. We are sure that you will be better in no time dear but we would like to keep observations on you for a few more hours if that's alright." She explained to me looking from me to behind me too. I nodded to her telling her it was fine. It was then that I looked around behind me and noticed that Jared was awake listening in.
"Hey" he said quietly but it was just loud enough that I could hear it.
"Hey" I said back kind of awkwardly.
"I was so worried about you. You've been sleeping for over a day. I rang your mum off your phone and told her what happened. She's been so worried as well but I'm not too sure how Zach has been I haven't been able to talk to him but I'm sure he's worried sick."
"Where's mum?" I asked really wanting her to know that I'm alright and also wanting a hug.
"She had to go back home, she said she needed to feed Zach and make sure he got some rest." Jared explained to me.
"Ah right, could you call her for me? Please?" I asked giving puppy dog eyes as well.
"Yeah of course hun, I'll be right back okay?" He said as he was walking towards the door to my room.
I woke up to chattering somewhere in the room. I guess I must of fallen asleep soon after Jared left because I don't remember anything. I was so tired and wanted to go back to sleep until I heard a familiar voice mumble something to someone.
"Mum?" I asked unsure if I heard it right.
"Baby, your awake." Only when my mum engulfed me into a massive bear hug did I decide then to open my eyes. Mum, Jared and Jared's brother were all in the room. Shit! What was his name again? I'm gonna have to ask and look like an idiot. "The nurse said that everything on your vitals looks fine and that we can go home whenever your ready."
The nurse said that I had to wait a few hours. Had I slept for over a day, woke up for about 15 minutes and then gone back to sleep for hours? Wow! That's a lot of sleep. I've never had an injury and had to go to the hospital before so the affects of being injured were new to me. I'm guessing it's normal though because if it wasn't the nurse wouldn't be discharging me.
"Okay mum, let's get out of here." I said with a smile. I wasn't lying to Jared when I said I didn't like hospitals. I really don't like them, I don't know how I'm coping.
I slowly got out of bed making sure not to make myself dizzy from getting up too fast. The two guys left giving me some privacy whilst I changed into my comfy clothes, which included a baggy top and a pair of sweatpants.
It didn't take long to discharge and get down to the car and soon enough we were on our way home and I felt so much more relaxed. I don't know what it is about hospitals that make me feel so nervous.
As soon as we got home we ate something and then I went upstairs to shower and get into bed. When I came back into my bedroom wearing my pjs which consisted of a pair of shorts and a basic strappy top I noticed that Jared was sat on my bed looking at the floor.
As soon as he heard me his eyes fixed on me. Suddenly feeling very exposed and self conscious so I grabbed my robe, put it on and tied it around my waste. "Are you okay?" He asked as I walked towards my bed and sat down.
"I'm fine thank you, I'm sure it won't take long for it to heal." I replied with a small smile as Jared looked at me, not quite satisfied with my answer. So I gave him a confused look in response.
" I mean with what happened." He says being more obvious with the kind of response he wanted from me.
"With time I'll be fine, I can't thank you enough for what you did the other day Jared. I really don't know what would of happened if you hadn't come and saved me." I said looking at him the entire time so he knew that I really was grateful for what he did. I'd never been in a situation like that before and I never wanted to be in it again.
"It makes me so angry to think that there are sick people out there who would do such a thing to a woman whilst she screaming for him to stop." I'd noticed that he's started to shake and that his nuckles had gone white from him clenching his hands into fists.
"It is sad to think about what people of capable of doing Jared but you saved me. You stopped that guy from getting what he wanted and instead he got what he deserved."
He turned to me with a small smile on his face which is one that I gladly returned. He looked so sweet when he smiled, he had a dimple on the right side of his face which made him look slightly innocent in a way. He had started to lean in and I panicked thinking he was going to kiss me but I didn't move an inch. He gave me a kiss on the cheek, lingering there for a few moments before wrapping his arms around my waist and giving me a hug. I responded after a few seconds and heard him whisper "I'm really glad your okay." As he came out of the hug "goodnight, see you tomorrow." He then stood up ready to leave.
"Goodnight Jared." I replied as he left the room.
I got up and closed my door, then I closed my window and my curtains then got into bed and turned my lamp off after throwing my dressing gown down at the end of my bed. I closed my eyes and fell asleep thinking of the kiss on the cheek and how amazing his smile was.
