Chapter 9

The next day...
Stephanie's POV:
I walk into the music room and begin preparing to teach my first class. I think I'm teaching with one of the others but I can't remember who. As I begin stretching, West walks in. Great. I have to teach a class with my ex.
'Hey.' He says.
'Hey.' I say.
'I saw your latest movie the other day.' He says, trying to make conversation.
'What did you think?' I ask.
'You were great.' He says. Thankfully the kids come in before this can get anymore awkward.
'Hi kids! West and I are going to teach you a routine today.' I say.
'Boring.' One kid says.
'Well what do you want to do then?' West asks.
'Duets!' they all shout.
'Erm okay. You can choreograph your own duets and show us at the end of the lesson.' I say.
'Can you show us a duet?' A little girl asks. I look at West and he nods at me. We begin doing our 'dance til dawn' duet. It brings back a lot of memories. Eventually the lesson ends and the kids go, leaving just me and West.

West's POV:
'So how is it in L.A.? I ask.
'It's good.' She says quietly. It's like she's scared to talk to me and I hate it. We used to talk to each other about everything and now we have to force a basic conversation.
'What happened to us, Stephanie?'
'I left to go to L.A.' She replies dryly.
'I didn't want you to.' I say, staring at the floor.
'Didn't want me to? West, you were the one that told me to go!' She shouts.
'Because I wanted you to be happy! I didn't want to hold you back. I didn't think you'd actually go but you did. And I miss you every day!' I say, looking straight into her eyes.
'Well you didn't try to stop me!' She shouts.
'Yeah I did.'

A/N: so I haven't updated either of my books in like a year 😬 To be honest I've kind of lost interest in them because I'm not as a big of a TNS fan as I used to be and I haven't watched it in so long. I watched the first few episodes of season 4 and then I just stopped because I couldn't get into it with all the new people. I was looking at my books and I found a few pre-written chapters on this one so I'm gonna post them and maybe carry on with this one. As for my micheldon book, I don't know if/when I'll update because I've just had major writers block with that book but I know that it's more popular so I might try and update that at some point.
