The Brown Eyed Boy

Brown eyes
most don't think
they stand for much
but baby
yours sure did.

Reflecting in the sun
its almost like I could see
all the way through
to your soul.

A beautiful soul
One I could've stared at for eternity
Painting pictures on your skin
To show you how beautiful we were.

Now I sit here and realize
That I'll never look into those eyes again.
They will never show me the love
That I had come to treasure.

I will never again feel the way I did.
Warm in your arms
Feeling as though,
Some how nothing could harm me.

Little did I know
That the worst pain I have ever felt
Could come from one so lovely.

Thousands of miles away from you
My heart broke.
I sat crying in the restaurant bathroom
Trying not to scream.

Knowing that I couldn't break.
Having to pick myself up and say
Tomorrow is a new day.
But I will never forget what you did to me.
