The New Moon

I am the moon.
Casting a pale light upon the Earth.
Grieving the loss of the sun.
Just waiting for it to rise again.
But when it does,
The moon is pushed away
Unnoticed by the sun
Whose light shines brighter
Than the moon could ever imagine.
They live in harmony
Just beyond this Earth
Like you and I.
But you have made me the New Moon;
Invisible to all.
No one will ever know it is there.
One question remains
Will the sun ever miss it's moon?
