Sting POV.

Waking up in an unknown place is somehow very worrying.
Especially in the middle of a war.

I ended up waking in what seemed to be a small shack.
It was made of old rotting wood and was quite a bit smaller than a normal room. It had spiderwebs all over the place.
It was pretty dark, I couldn't see anything.

The feeling of doubt still in my gut, I attempt to get up but soon groan in pain.
My stomach hurts like hell...

I lift my shirt to find my torso covered in some sort of leafs.

"What the..."

A sudden rustling from the far corner of the room draws my attention.
I slowly and painfully get up into a fighting position. My lips up in a snarl.
I look closer at the corner to see a darker figure crouching there. It stares at me with glowing red eyes.

I doubt this thing is a Disto. It would have killed me right away.
Is it another human?
Or one of the toxic animals around here?

"What are you?"

It doesn't answer just sits there.

"Hello?"

I get a little closer. The thing moved farther away from me, it was hissing. I get a closer.

"Go!"

It hissed at me again. I stand up straight and step forward even more. I can finally get a good look of what I'm dealing with.

Disto.

It isn't like any of the others... It had long silky black hair, pale scaled skin, it's long teeth peeking out from its top lip. The one thing that really stuck out were its eyes.

Bright red eyes.

The eyes I remember from so long ago.

It hisses at me again.

"Get out!"

I get closer to it. Taking small and slow steps.
It backs up until it hits a wall.

"Stay away!"

When I get close enough it lashes out and knocks me to the ground. It holds me down with inhuman strength, almost crushing my bones.

"I told you to leave! I don't want you here!"

In all honesty, I flinched.
Having it's face so close to mine is terrifying. Especially since it doesn't seem to remember me.

"I don't mean any harm, an I know you don't either..."

It snarls.

"Shut up!"

Its grip loosens enough for me to push it off. It trips and slides across the floor.
I walk over, my hand out to help it up. It just stares at my hand, eyes narrowed.

"I don't want to hurt you..."

The Disto hesitantly grabs my hand with its own shaking one.
I haul it up.

"See, no harm done."

"Why? Why are you doing this?"

"You saved me."

"No, I just pulled you away so you wouldn't give me away to the others."

"That's not what I meant... You saved me as a child. I know you saw me hiding..."

A sudden realization crosses its face.

"You... You're that human child..."

"Yes, and I thank you for leaving me unnoticed."

The Disto stared at me not saying anything. It stuck out a shaky hand after a few minutes of silence.

"Rogue."

What? What is Rogue?

"My name's Rogue..."

Oh.

"I'm Sting."

I grab his scaled hand and shook it lightly, afraid the sharp scales might cut my skin.
We both pulled away.

"You really should leave... You're not safe here."

I raise an eyebrow.
Suddenly a sound of footsteps echoes through the room.

"We must leave. Now!"

Rogue grabbed my hand and lead me out of the room and into an alleyway. I could see a part of my group at the end of it.

"This way. I know them."

I begin to drag Rogue over when he stops. I look over to see him petrified.

"What's wrong?"

"Have you forgotten what I am?"

Disto.
Shit.
Disto and human don't mix.

He let go of my hand.

"Go! I'll be fine on my own... Good luck!"

With that he left, running over to one of the walls and climbed it with ease.
I wonder if I'll ever see him again...
Who knows...

I dart towards my group.

"Guys!"

Natsu turns and grins.

"You're alive! We thought we lost you!"

He slaps me on the back.

"C'mon, we're heading home."

As we walk back to base I can't help but look back at the alleyway.

Rogue...
