Sting POV.

This is amazing.
Rogue made an amazing pasta dinner, almost as if it were from another world.
He dressed wonderfully. A black tux that I'd seen Jellal wear a while ago, with a pure white dress shirt and a dark red tie.

He spoke of his day with a large smile and amazement in his eyes as he deeply explained a new healing technique that Wendy taught him.

I grab his hand.

"This is amazing Rogue, thank you."

"Anything for you."

He smiles softly and plays with my fingers, picking at my scabs.

"I'm glad you're safe. That you guys won today."

"Yeah, if only we knew how to really kill them now..."

Rogue stares at me.

"No, I can't tell you that if you have plans on killing my race off..."

"Rogue... They've taken over...."

"I'm one of them. If this hadn't happened... We never would've met... I'd probably be dead..."

I look at the little makeshift table.

"Sorry... Yeah... I just, I lost a lot to them..."

"I know... And I'm sorry..."

"It's okay... You are so worth all that... I love you..."

Rogue smiles.

"I love you too."

The darkness slowly takes over the land as the night goes on. We transition from the fire pit to my tent, as Wendy and Chelia were in his.

We lay in bed after, his hand on my thigh as we talk.

"I can't wait to have a normal happy life..."

"Do you think that could happen with me...?"

"Of course."

Rogue smiles and rubs my thigh.

"You mean... We could get married some day... Have a family...?"

"Yeah, marriage, kids, a house, everything you'd ever want."

Rogue smiles and kisses me. His hand moving to my hip as he get on me. My hands move to his lower back as I deepen the kiss.
He shivers and slides his tongue into my mouth, a fight for dominance starts. My hips move as he tugs at my shirt, sliding it off of me and pulls away from the kiss to take it off.

He looks at me and smiles softly.

"I love you...."

"I love you too..."

Rogue takes a deep breath and starts taking off his shirt.
On his chest was a dark hole in the middle of his chest, a flurry of crack looking veins coming from it.

"Promise me something..."

"Anything..."

"You won't share this information with the others..."

"I promise..."

He looks at me, leading my hand over the hole.

"This is our weakness... The soft point...."

I stare at him, my heart pounding with his.

"That means...."

"This is our means of death.... The way I could die..."

I pull him closer and cups his cheek.

"I won't ever let that happen..."

Rogue smiles and kisses me harder than he ever has before, launching us into the events of the night to come.
