The royal scientist swung open the door to the palace with delight in his eyes. His long, white lab coat swayed behind him as he strutted towards the throne room with a blueprint in his gentle hands. As he walked into the large room, he saw a light coming from the roof that lighted up the room beautifully. Flowers were blooming all over the floor and around King Asgore's throne, and the queens throne. The king and queen were both sitting on their thrones.

"Greetings, Doctor." The new king, Asgore, said with a warm smile. "I have finished the plans, for the rest of the core." The scientist replied, returning the smile. The core is a huge machine that keeps everything stable, but it is not quite finished yet. It was the scientists creation and will be finished since the blueprints are finished. "Good, good! Let's see." He softly grabbed the blueprint out of his scientists hand and stared at it for a while. The queen seemed confused. She didn't understand the scientist, because he spoke in wing dings. He spoke in wing dings but he could translate English, just he could never speak it for some reason.

"Perfect. We'll get building right away! It would take a good 3 months, but you get time off." The King spoke in a very cheerful tone. The doctor smiled and nodded, then turned away and walked back to his lab. The scientist wore his long white lab coat that dragged behind him when the wind wasn't blowing. Underneath that he wore a light grey turtleneck that had very thin black vertical lines on the neck that was barely noticeable. He had black long pants with black shoes and he had one blue eye on the right and an orange one on the left. He had a unique but strange thing that he had markings. His hands had holes in the palm with a black line coming from the hole and up to his finger and another one coming from the bottom of the hole and up his entire arm. Both hands had that, and he also had a black line that traced from his left eye to the back of his head and another marking where another line come from his right eye down to his mouth.

His name was Dr. W.D Gaster. People just call him Gaster or Doctor most of the time. "Free time. Perfect. Now I can finish my project." He murmured to himself as he walked into his lab and put his glasses on. He grabbed a blueprint and padded to a locked room, with one thing in it. A large machine with a white sheet over it. He uncovered it and it was so dusty it made him cough. He created this many years ago and he had no time to do anything with it, and now it was time.
He quickly wrote on the top of the blueprint, project #1. He put it in a slot in the machine and it closed and scanned it. He pressed many buttons and then pulled a lever down, and waited. "Please work.." He whispered as the machine stayed there, doing nothing. He sighed and then walked up to it and turned it off, and the machine pushed out the blueprint.

He turned it back on and put the blueprint back in and did the same thing, and he waited. It did nothing. Just when he was about to give up, a shockwave of wind suddenly blew him back and a bright light illuminated the room. Gaster opened his eyes once he thought the light was gone, but it was just dying down so he squinted and he slowly stood up and brushed himself off. He stared into the window of the machine and only found fog and smoke. The light was gone by the time the fog was just starting to ebb away.

Gaster looked around and he then saw a faint figure of a small baby sitting in there, staring at its own hand curiously. Gaster's eyes widened and he darted and grabbed a blue blanket and opened the door to the machine. The fog poured out and made him shiver as it covered the floor of the room. Gaster took his glasses off and reached for the silhouette, and grabbed it softly and took it out of the machine and smiled. What he was gazing down at wasn't a project.

It was his child.
