Bella's P.O.V.

The days and weeks had stretched, with no sign of Jacob in sight. He did not respond to my calls and texts. It caused me concern for his welfare. As I sat on the chair in Renesmee's room, I couldn't help but smile as I watched her giggle and play with her toys. She had grown, resembling a five-year-old. Now, she can walk on her own two feet.

Renesmee asked, "Mommy, where's Jacob?"

"I don't know,"

"Will he ever come back?"

As I settled on the soft carpeted floor, I placed Renesmee in my lap.

"I don't know, Renesmee. He wouldn't talk to me," I responded.

"Oh,"

Renesmee hugged me, and I hugged her back.

"Let's head to the main house where your dad is," I suggested.

Renesmee picked up her teddy bear, and I scooped her into my arms, feeling her small, warm body against mine. We then headed to the front door, which creaked as we approached. Just as I reached for the door, a gentle knock sounded. Who could know where we live? I answered, and to my surprise, it was Jacob on the other side.

I sat Renesmee down and hugged Jacob. "Hi, why haven't you answered any of my phone calls?" I asked.

"I've been busy with work. But, you know, you remember I still have school."

"Yeah, but you could have answered my calls."

"Well, I am still mad at you."

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have gotten so mad at you."

"It's fine."

"No, really I'm sorry. You have no control, of who you imprint on."

"It's fine. You're probably curious how I got to your place," Jacob mentioned.

"Yeah," I said.

"You weren't at the house, so they told me where you were."

"Oh well, you can come in."

Jacob entered, and I closed the door, blocking the outside noise.

"Are we staying here?" I asked.

"Yes, for now," Jacob responded.

"She stands now?"

"Yes, a lot and her growth."

"I can tell."

"So, do you want me to show you around?"

"Sure, why not?"

While I showed him the house, Renesmee slipped away to her bedroom. We followed her to her bedroom.

"This is Renesmee's room. We updated it since she grew." I said.

"It's adorable," Jacob said.

Jacob entered the bedroom and glanced around. His eyes widened. "She has so many toys," he remarked.

"Well, we like to keep her company," I said.

Jacob sat down beside Renesmee, and I walked in. "Is that the little teddy bear she carries around?" he asked.

"Yeah, she would not put it down. She will get mad if you try to take it from her." I responded.

"I bet."

Renesmee hopped on Jacob's lap. I chuckled. "Renesmee sees you as her brother," I remarked.

Jacob smiled and said, "That's cute."

Renesmee hugged him, and Jacob hugged her back. He lowered her and stood up. "Time to move to the next room," Jacob suggested.

Jacob walked past me, and I followed him.

"You got to check out our enormous closet," I exclaimed. "It's huge."

We entered the closet. Jacob's eyes widened. "It's massive. You could fit a T.V. in here," he exclaimed.

"I know," I said, smiling. "Let's go to the living room," I urged.

With a nod from Jacob, we exited the closet and entered the cozy living room.

"This is nice," Jacob said.

"Yeah, Alice and her family assembled it," I mentioned.

Jacob nodded. "Oh," he said. "Anyway, were you about to go somewhere?"

"Yeah, we were about to head to the main house, but you showed up," I responded.

I sat down on the couch, and Jacob sat next to me. "Can I visit you and see my dad now that the deal is over?" I asked.

"Yes," Jacob responded.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I told you I'd been busy."

"Of course."

"Bella, please remember my busy schedule prevents me from always being here."

I nodded. "Yeah..." I said.

"I better go. I have patrol tonight," Jacob mentioned.

"Alright."

We got up, and I hugged Jacob. He hugged me back and then walked to the door, and I followed him. "Bye, Jake," I said.

Jacob walked out the door, saying, "Bye, Bella."

Closing the door behind me, I scooped up Renesmee in my arms and headed to the main house. With Renesmee in my arms, we ascended the stairs. Our soft footsteps echoed through the hallway.

When we reached upstairs, I placed Renesmee down. She dashed to Edward. I approached him, and he gazed at me. "Hey, sweetheart," he greeted.

"Hey," I said.

Edward picked up Renesmee. "How long has she been talking?" he inquired.

"About a day now," I responded.

"Wow, soon, we will put you in preschool."

"Edward, that's a good idea. She grows every day, and people will notice her growth. When she stops growing, we can put her in high school."

Edward nodded.

"Hey, I'm going to be back later. I'm going to hunt. See you later."

I left, and Edward escorted Renesmee to another room.
