One Night

Garroth x Aphmau

I was out on a regular patrol of the perimeter of the village. I was walking when I saw Aphmau. 'Shes so beautiful' he thought. I walked over to her. "Hey Aphmau" I said trying sounding joyful as ever. She jumped but the relaxed "Hey Garroth." My hands started sweating so I hid them behind my back. "How are you this morning?" She smiled and said "Good how about you?" "Good. How are Levin and Malichi?" The sparkle in her eye faded and she grew shy. "They said that they want something?" "What is it?" She became flustered but continued "You know............ A father." She looked away from me, her cheeks red with embarrassment. I felt my face grow red and I don't know why I said this "Aren't I like a father to them?" As soon as those words left my mouth I knew I had made a mistake. Aphmau's eyes widened and she became even more flustered. "T-t-that's not what I meant. I mean I wouldn't mind for it to be that way. B-b-but it's not like I want it to be like that or anything!" I realized that I was digging my own grave and shut my mouth. I've never been so embarrassed in my life. "S-sorry" I walked away before she could confront me on what I had said. 'What the hell is wrong with me' I thought frustrated.

My patrol was over so I decided to train on one of the dummies we have in the guard tower. I brought it outside of the walls and stuck the bottom of the pole into the ground and set it up. I decided to work on my hand-to-hand combat today so, I sheathed my diamond sword and started to punch the dummy. It had been an hour or so and I was growing tired. I looked to my right and saw the bright orange red tint of a beautiful sunset. I heard a stick snap behind me. I whirled around and saw Aphmau. The light orange light complemented her perfectly. She was so beautiful. Her sweet brown eyes sparkled in the fading sunlight. Her dark brown hair blew in the wind. We just stood there for what seemed like forever, just staring into each other's eyes. "Hey" she said in a soft voice. "Hello" she walked over to me and leaned against a tree. "Wanna see something cool?" I said. "Sure." I lead her into the guard tower and when we got to the top I quickly took off my armor until I only had regular clothes on. I then jumped out of the window onto the tree below. "W-what are you doing?" She said as I landed. "The thing I wanna show you is over here." I said motioning her to me. She jumped and almost landed on top of me. I navigated through the trees until I saw it.

It was a little platform that I had built a couple weeks ago to watch the sunsets. "So that's what you were doing?" "Yep" I said pulling myself and Aphmau onto it. "It's beautiful" she said admiring the sunset. "I know" I said looking at her. She blushed and looked away. "S-so the village is growing along nicely isn't it?" "Yea it's grown a lot since you came here." I looked at her admiringly. "Thanks." "I-I'm sorry about what I said earlier." I became flustered and by the looks of it she did too. "It's-" she was cut off by the sound of wood cracking. She began to fall but I grabbed her before she fell to the ground. "Aphmau it's ok don't worry I've got you." I said reassuringly. "Ok" she said. I pulled her up and when I got her up onto the rest of the platform she clung to my chest. She started to weep. I was confused but, I comforted her best I could. "What's going on?" I asked. "With everything that's going on with Zane and O'kasis and everything else. It's just too much." She said and started to sob. I hugged her tighter. "Don't worry Aphmau I promise I'll help you whenever you need me." She looked up at me. Her eyes were wet and they were sparkling in the now starlight. Her bottom lip started to quiver and she threw her arms around my neck. "Thank you Garroth." She said sobbing. We got down from the platform and I walked her home.

She pulled me inside. "Come in." She said. "I'm sorry for crying." She said. I looked at her confused "What are you apologizing for? It's ok to cry you know. Whenever you need to cry I'll be here." She looked at me sweetly. I blushed and looked away. "Wanna read Levin and Malichi a bedtime story?" "S-sure" I walked into their room with a book that Aphmau said they loved. They were getting ready for bed. Aphmau came in after me and said "Ok you two Garroth is gonna read you a story so be nice." The both nodded and got into bed. I sat down and started reading. When I got done they were out like lights. Aphmau and I walked out of their room and into Aphmau's. I but the book onto one of her bookshelfs.

I turned around and my eyes widened as I saw Aphmau's face redder than an apple. "What's up" I said concerned. She looked into my eyes and ran up to me then kissed my cheek. My face grew hot and red. I pulled her into an embrace. She buried her face into my chest. Then she backed up and looked at me. Her chocolate brown eyes were as beautiful as ever. Her face grew red as she stared to tug on her dress strap. "What are you doing?" I said. She looked up at me embarrassed as hell. "This is what I wear to bed." She said as her dress fell to the ground exposing her undergarments. Her far was a bright crimson red, tho I'm sure mine wasn't much better. "Should I leave?" I started to walk out when she grabbed my arm. "You know." She started, "I wouldn't mind if you were the father." Her words echoed in my ears. I smiled tho embarrassed as hell I said "Me neither." She seemed shocked. I took her hand and pulled her towards me. I caught her in an embrace. I could feel her face grow hot. My face felt like it was about to melt but I didn't care I was with the one I love most. She pulled away slowly and looked into my eyes. I put one hand against her cheek and closed the distance between us. Her lips were soft and sweet, like her. She returned the kiss then said something I never thought I'd hear her say. "I love you Garroth." "I love you too Aphmau." She started to walk towards her bed , then she stopped and looked at me. I realized what she wanted and slowly undressed into my undergarments. She looked impressed. "You like?" I said trying to pull a Laurence. "W-What are you talking about?" I chuckled and grabbed her. We both got into bed and sleep and dreamt of each other.
