One Night

Laurence x Aphmau

Laurence's POV
I was on my evening patrol of the walls when something caught my eye. I giant looming shadow was cast upon the trees. What the shadow belongs to I have no idea. Curiosity got the better of me and I decided to tail the thing to get some answers.

Aphmau's POV
I was getting ready for bed when I heard a crash, like a boulder hitting stone. I threw on my dress and ran out to investigate. What I saw almost made me want to claw my eyes out. I saw a giant human-like figure that just broke through the wall. I called upon my Irene form and charged it.

Laurence's POV
I followed the beast deep into the woods. I swiftly slide behind a tree as it turned to face my direction. It's started to walk over to me. "I can since your presences brother." It said in a voice that would make even the biggest demons tremble. 'Brother?' "For you see you and I are one of the same. Isn't that right? Shadow-knight!!" My eyes widened. I slowed creeped out from behind the tree. I looked at the shadow-knight it was not human. It was the living embodiment of hell. It stood 10 feet tall, eyes glowing embers, teeth filed to a jagged point, blood colored armor covered his fat, grotesque figure. "If you wish to save those you love come with me." It's voice bellowed once more. 'What? How does that thing know anything about me?' I was so lost in thought that his words had to bring me back. "So be it." He said charging towards Phoenix Drop. "NO!!!!" I yelled but it was too late he had already broken through the wall.

Aphmau's POV
As I charged the beast I could see Laurence running with every fiber of strength to it as well, he was in his shadow-knight form and he was ready to go berzerk. Both of us in unison leaped and were ready to sink our blades into the flesh of the intruder when, suddenly it drew it's sword and deflected our attacks. It was so fast!! How could we keep up with this thing? Soon Garroth, Dale and everyone else came to help but it was no use. That is until I saw Zoey and an idea flickered in my head. "Zoey!!" I screamed, "can you out a barrier around that thing?" "Yes but, it will take some time." "Well make it work." Everyone charged in at once, dodging his attacks and making some slight progress. "Everyone back up!!!" Zoey yelled. As she cast her spell upon the beast. The monster struggled and thrashed it's arms around but it could not break the barrier. Then I saw Laurence.

Laurence's POV
Once Zoey put the demon in a barrier I saw my chance. I jumped up behind it and landed on it's back. Before it could react I sunk my blade into it's neck and decapitated it. Everyone looked at me astonished. "Where was that when we needed it?" Said Dale laughing. I smiled and began to pull the monster away. I put the dead monster in the now abandoned chicken-shaman house. Hope he'll like it.

Aphmau's POV
After everyone cleaned up the wall and the building the demon destroyed, I walked up to my house. As I entered I saw a fimiliar face. It was Laurence. "H-Hey." I said. "Hey and by the way you owe me." "For what?" "Being so badass back there." He said laughing. He walked up to me and said, "You could repay me right now if you want." "L-L-Laurence I-" he cut me off by placing his lips on mine. I tensed up but slowly melted into the kiss. I ran my fingers through his hair and wrapped my legs around his waist.

Laurence's POV
Oh.My.Irene. This is actually working! I just expected to get slapped, but apparently not. This is amazing. I carried her up to her bed and we slowly undressed each other. We both admired each other as we got into bed together. We eventually fell asleep in each other's arms.
