One Night

Travis x Katelyn

So this is based in present day with Travis and Katlyn knowing each other their entire lives.

Travis's POV
I walked down the street heading down towards the park. I had to get Katlyn out of my head. I love her but I don't know how to show it other than just put it out there. She's rejected me over and over again. I just wanted to be alone and get away from everyone. I got to the park and looked for something to take my mind off of her. I decided to climb a tree and laid down on one of the bottom branches. Then I heard the voice of the person I wanted out of my head.

Katlyn's POV
I walked to the park because I heard one of my favorite food trucks was there. After I got my food I walked around looking for a bench to sit down and eat on. While I was looking I found someone in a tree. It was Travis. Of course he'd be here. I hope Kawaii~chan isn't around. Ugh she makes me wanna vomit sometimes. "What are you doing up there stupid?" I said. He looked at me with a depressed look in his emerald eyes. "Hey Katlyn," I said sounding more pathetic than I wanted to, "What's up." "Just got some food. How about you? Why are you sleeping in a tree?" "I just needed to clear my head." Oh god is he trying to get me to be concerned about him? "Ok, bye." I walked away before he could get another word out.

Travis's POV
After she walked away I felt more depressed than usual. I started to feel hungry so I turned over and fell out of the tree. It hurt but I didn't really care anymore. I went to Katlyn's favorite food truck. I got what she always orders when everyone goes out. I say down under the tree that I fell out of and ate. As I ate I started to cry. It made me think of her and I couldn't take it anymore! I threw the food down and put my head in my hands. I sobbed as silently as I could trying not to draw attention to myself. I heard footsteps behind me. Aphmau and Katlyn were there. "Ugh." Katlyn said and walked away. At that moment what little peace of my heart that wasn't broken, shattered. I clinched my knees to my chest and bawled into my knees. Aphmau sat down next to me and patted my shoulder. "Are you ok?" She said trying to sound as gentile as possible. "No but what do you care." I said trying to get her to leave but, being Aphmau, she was not going to let that happen. "Travis I do care. Tell me what's happening." "It's Katlyn, I know she hates me but I just want her to at least look me in the eye with disgust in her's. I want her to love me. Because I love her more than I could describe." "Aww Travis. Katlyn doesn't hate you-" "How do you know?" "Well sh-" before she could say anything we heard a scream from the other side of the park.

Katlyn's POV
I didn't want to see Travis right now. It was too much. I didn't want to fall for him. But I noticed something that made me think. Ever since he started going out with the group and me more he has never even looked at another girls butt. He just looks at me mostly. Never on my butt, but my eyes. It made me mad that I couldn't shake him from me head. Before I could think anymore two guys jumped out of nowhere and pinned me down before I could fight back. "Where should we start?" One of them said running a knife up my back. "WHAT DO YOU WANT?" I yelled as loud as I could. I hoped someone would hear it. "Now now you better be quiet or I'll make the death slower." The thought of the things they were going to put my through made me shudder. Then I heard footsteps that made the ground shake.

Travis's POV
"That was Katlyn!!!!!!" I said getting to my feet. Before Aphmau could respond I was sprinting as hard as I could towards her. I won't let you get hurt as long as I'm alive. I thought as I sprinted. My muscles ached but I didn't care how much they hurt I wasn't going to give up. Then I saw her. On her stomach with two guys on top of her, each with one knee on her back and the other on each arm. I felt a rush of adrenaline and I sprinted even faster towards her. I tackled the one on the right. Knocking the wind out of him. I punched him in the chin knocking him out cold. Then I turned to the other one. He got up and started to run away. I rushed up to him and kicked his back as hard as I could. He laid on the ground moaning in pain. I ran up to Katlyn to make sure she was ok. I helped her up and then she buried her head into my chest. She started sobbing. "Don't worry Katlyn they won't hurt you. Not as long as I'm here." I said trying to cheer her up. She lifted her head and looked into my eyes. She was so beautiful. Her eyes slowly closed and she brought her face closer to mine. I closed the gap between us. The moment seemed to last forever and I wished it would.

I'll never let anything hurt you ever again.
