When Alec comes to find me, my emotions are masked. He looks at me and let's out a frustrated growl. I can tell by his eyes that his wolf Is talking control. I whimper and bare my neck in submission. Hearing him come closer, I whimper louder than before.

I then hear a sound I would never associate with him. A small whimper escapes Alec's throat. My eyes grow to the size of the moon and I turn to look at him.

He has his eyes cast down and his neck bared. If anyone else were to see him now, he would be ridiculed for such an action towards an omega. But he was with me, and the sight of him broke my heart.

I didn't know what I was doing until he responded to my actions. I had wrapped my arms around him in a tight embrace, almost like I was trying to keep him together. His arms wrap around me almost instantly. He nuzzles his head into my neck and sniffs at it. I never want to come out of this, but I know that we can't stay attached forever. All good things must come to an end.

I loosen my arms around him. It takes him a few seconds, but he loosens his arms too. Now he just leans on me, his head still in my neck.

"You smell so... intoxicating," Alec whispers next to my ear. I shiver at his voice. It sounds like his wolf is coming through, so I back away. His head snaps up, his eyes glowing yellow. I blink and he is suddenly right in front of me.

"Don't move away from me," he says, of course, as I move away again. Alec's eyes go back to their original hazel color just as I reach the door. His eyes widen and he steps towards me, causing me to open that door and sprint up the stairs and away. I can hear his footsteps getting closer and closer.

"Rain please stop running from me. This can't go on forever." But I just keep running. Past all the other pack members, some snickering, past all the doors.

But there is one door that I don't ignore. I burst through it and run to the woods.  And then I feel someone pounce on me, and I fall down. He straddles my waist as he turns me on to my back. Angry hazel eyes look back into my clearly scared blue-gray eyes. "Oh shit."
