Denver's weather had been such a roller coaster, for the last few days, which had Diamond nauseated doing the event training on her NordicTrack repeatedly. She was in desperate need to change up her routine. The indoor workout had her bored to death. She gathered herself up and kissed her sleeping husband on the cheek as he continued to sleep. She walked over to the window and noticed the autumn leaves were still and the bright sun was sparkling with a polished gloss, just like the gem in which she shared the same name. Her daily indoor regiment was about to under ago a change. Diamond didn't care if the temperature did not match the sun's appearance.

Diamond knew the bitter cold was fast approaching and she needed to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. She dressed in her tightly fitted black yoga wear, with IPod in hand; she trotted to the garage to grab her equipment. IPod attached to her arm and ear buds plugged into her ears, she let the smooth sounds of the Isley Brothers take her to no other place that she rather be.

In less than five minutes Diamond was fully dressed with her bike and headed towards the Cherry Creek trail. Her vigorous workout was vital to her marriage. Her husband was death on her burning calories and keeping her muscles firm. Diamond's alternate choice of workout this particular morning had her complacent and satisfied. She was not about to be confined to the same four walls. Before she knew it she was two blocks away from their upscale bungalow in Placita Park.

The tranquil atmosphere put her at ease. The birds were singing a happy tune. A few neighborhood dogs were partaking in their usual morning routine, out barking one another competition. Diamond took a deep breath and smiled as she observed the serene atmosphere as her journey had came to an end.

Placing her bike on the kickstand, Diamond left her chariot on the patio and she decided to put it in the garage a little later. She removed her keys from her pouch and proceeded through the door. She entered with a little dance strut as she glided singing loudly how it wasn't a mystery of a girl sharing her love between the sheets. The vibration of her cell phone put her love making rendition of The Isley Brothers Between the Sheets on pause. Noticing it was Tiffany from the picture that flashed across the screen. Diamond slide the answer button and placed the phone up to her ear.

"Hey, Tiff!" Diamond began to walk towards her bedroom. She notice Kevin must have left in a rush because the bed was not made. This was so unusual and out of character for him. An individual would think Kevin had been jailed or in the military. His drawers were neatly packed. The only items which were out of place were his white socks. The white socks were matched in a bag. The bag was tucked in the corner of is closet. He only had one brand of white socks in several different styles. The other socks in which he owned were his dress socks. Navy, brown, or black socks were neatly coordinated; and uniformity in rows in his drawers. He didn't like to see things out of place. Kevin lived by his own motto of, "everything has its place."

"Diamond! Did you hear anything I just said?" Tiffany yelled noticing that Diamond had not responded.

Diamond instantly detached herself from the mesmerizing thought, "I'm sorry, Tiff. Kevin militant ass has left here and didn't make the bed and I was trying to figure out what was going on."

"Is he still home?" Tiffany asked with bit of concern.

"Well I didn't put my bike in the garage so, I have no way of knowing if his car was gone; but I have been here for a minute and he hasn't surfaced. Knowing him he probably looked in the refrigerator and realized there were not any egg whites. So he had to make a mad dash to the market." Diamond chuckled.

"Anyway," Tiffany cut in, "I wanted to know when you were coming to visit us in the Lou? I keep telling my friends how my best friend is married to a NBA bench rider."
