Part 30: Getting Back Up

Wednesday 6:15 AM

The teachers where sitting in the teachers' lounge and where watching the news while the kids were resting from the big fight.

"Yesterday a massive fight between the defenders and a man calling himself Overlord broke out and caused a lot of damage to the street" A news reporter said

The TV screen then switched to a footage of the street after the big fight with people being interviewed.

"This man in orange armour came out of nowhere and started to blast things with lasers from his hands" A man said being interviewed

"The defenders tried to stop him" A woman said being interviewed "But kids should never be trusted to do something this responsible"

"It was crazy man" A Hobo said being Interview "When that man fought those kids he went smash, smash, SMASH!"

The TV screen then switched to a news reporter in front of the street where the fight took place.

"Are these Defenders cable of saving us?" The news reporter asked "Or are they just kids with powers not knowing what they're doing"

The TV Screen then turned off as Mr Jones pressed the off button on the remote.

"That's enough TV" Mr Jones said putting the TV remote down

"What are we going to do?" Mr Gill asked

"After the kids rest up" Mr Jones replied "They will have to train harder, every day, every hour"

"Are you sure?" Ms Hill asked

"Well that's the best Idea I can think of" Mr Jones said "Because if they don't they won't be able to stop that guy from attacking us again"

"They need to rest" Ms Harman said "Right now they need time to get back up on their feet"

"Hopefully they rest up quicker than that guy attacks again" Mr Jones said leaving the teachers' lounge

Meanwhile in the Medical room

Brandon was sitting on a bed as a doctor was checking an X-ray of him.

"Ok" The doctor said "You'll be alright as long as you don't get in any fights"

"What do you mean?" Brandon asked "I need to train to get better"

"Well you need to rest" The doctor said "I'm sorry but if you throw punches or anything like that, you'll risk breaking your back"

"Ok" Brandon replied

"Good" The doctor said leaving the room

Brandon then got off the bed and walked into a room with all the other kids in it as Ethan was sleeping in a bed.

"How's he doing?" Brandon asked

"Not good" Hamish replied "The laser just missed his heart but he might not be able to recover"

"Poor kid" Jackson said "He doesn't deserve this"

"Even though he was an annoying idiot" Tyrone said "He was still a good friend"

Dion then lefted the room as the others stayed.

"What's with him?" Jake asked

"He thinks it's his fault" Tara replied "I tried reasoning with him but he says it's his fault Ethan is here"

Dion then entered the gym and got out a punching bag. Dion then placed it in the middle of the Gym and started to punch it. As Dion was punching it he was getting flash backs of the fight. He remembered Overlord taking him down, he remembered Overlord taking down his teammates and he remembered Overlord almost killing Ethan.
