"Hey Jamie!" Yelled Karli. Seeing him coming out of his tiny hybrid car which he's been saving up for about five years. At least he has a car.
"Hi Karli!" He said waving his hand.
Karli went to him and engulfed him in her arms.
"I'm so glad that your helping us out in this!" Perhaps this is too much?
"Oh its alright. Anything to help a friend." Even if it means death?
"So um... where's this Benjamen fellow of your's?" He looked around the outside of the apartment building.
"Oh he lives in the city. I was hoping you would take me there with you." She rubbed her arm trying to look cute in hopes he would do it.
"Of course. I hope he doesn't live in the ghetto that is."
"Oh he does." She rolled her eyes and kept looking at other parts of the place until she looked back at him. Her red hair bloomed in the sun rays.
"Is there any gangs there? Cause I really don't want any of that."
"Oh no, no, no! He lives in the safer parts of town."
Jamie looked at her with some suspicion but he went with it. They got in his tiny two seat car and drove off. They spent the ride across the busy streets of the city just talking about anything. His story on how he saved up for the car, the annoying traffic, his childhood, they're education and whatever came to mind. He laughed and so did she. It was a nice drive toward Ben's shop which Jamie also eyed with suspicion.
"This seems... nice." He was trying to be as kind as he could. Ben's shop honestly looked more like a sex shop with all the cheap lights glowing. I really need to help him redecorate. They both went in, the chimes began to ring calmly in random symphonies as they slowly died down.
"Hello! Ben are you here?!" Karli yelled out.
"In a minute!" She heard underneath the ground. Great timing Ben.
"This isn't what I expected... but the place looks nice." He gazed around all the artifacts and other creations that Ben has made in his dark basement.
"Can I have a look around?"
"Yeah sure. Help yourself. Just don't touch anything. Ben hate's it when people do."
He gave her nod and went about the store. Putting his arms behind his back and looked at all the stuff he made. As if it were a museum and he was a tourist. When he went deep enough Karli went towards the basement to find out what Ben's been up to.
"Ben! Get up here!" She yelled out for him.
"I'm coming. I'm coming!"
She was both annoyed and safe that he came by. She grew fearful of the fact that he's been hunted down before. So he might die at any moment by men in suits. His fat body was still able to fit in the basement walls surprisingly. If not for that then he would have to put butter on them to pass through and that would be both weird, disgusting, gross, and all other words like that. Oh god... I don't want to imagine it.
"I was working on some of the specs that we need to use on the mission."
"Specs?"
"Yeah as in what gadgets we're gonna use when we're there."
"Please don't tell me you gave them some stupid spy names." She rolled her eyes and knew that he did.
"No!" He pulled his head back at the question. But he then retracted back and said a faint ", yes"
Karli sighed at him.
"Hey! Its better than just naming them with numbers!"
"Weren't you the one who told me to take this seriously?"
"Serious about you doing the main task of getting him. But the rest will be easy."
"Don't say that! You know that this is going to be a pain in the ass for all three of us."
"If we plan this out then it will work just fine. Jamie is a nobody and so he will not have any suspicious eyes on him. He will need to walk by the crowds and then just find the guy and give him this."
Ben pulled out a note in an envelope. With a marking on it of a bear claw.
