"Chloe..." she just barely chokes out. I hug her tightly. The tears fall from my face. I now know why Brooke and Kelly were crying. Paige has cancer.
"Paige, I'm so sorry...for everything," I say, and smile innocently. She mouths "Twinnie's Forever", accepting my apology. My mom takes Brooke and me out into the hallway to talk with me. Kelly stays to speak with her young daughter.
"She'll be okay, girls. I promise, I promise..." she whispers, hugging the both of us. There is only silence. I remember all of our memories. And you better believe, there are many. I start crying again. But, this time... I can't tell whether or not they are happy or sad tears. By this time, I don't know anything. I don't know if my Paigey-Mack will live to be on the top of the pyramid. I don't know if we'll ever be able to do our duet we've been wanting for four years. All I know is that, my Twinny is sick. Extremely sick. And there is no way I can stop it.
Kelly comes outside. She has the white ribbon I wore in Twilight. I gave it to Paige , after Nicaya left. Twilight was our favorite movie ever. Team Jacob. There are so many things we have in common. So many things that we gossip over. Brooke is reading my mind. She gives me her phone. She always recorded our gossips. Now, watching these, I'm crying.
" She'll be fine, Chlobird," she whispers to me, and smiles. I hug her. She is the only person who will truly understand. Even after all of these years, I thought it was impossible for Paige to get cancer. But, I guess everything is possible. I wish cancer would get cancer and die... All I can do is pray for my Twinny..."I know, Brookie Cookie."
Brooke and I decided to take a walk around the hospital. It's pretty big here. 10 floors of hospital patients. Maybe, some are dying of cancer at the moment..Suddenly, a little boy pops into my head. His name is Ronan. He just recently died of cancer... And also Avery, a girl who is currently fighting cancer. I hope Paige and Avery will survive...
We sit against a wall, in the middle of nowhere. Brooke looks at me, a silent tear falls. She looks away, and grabs her phone out of her pocket. She plays Paige's favorite song...Summer Love Song. We sing along to the words as Kelly joins in. We finish singing and Kelly smiles," The rest of your dance team is here."
Brooke and I race each other to Paige's room, as Paige and I would. I see all the moms , except for Melissa. Maddie and Mackenzie aren't here ,either. Kelly may be mad at Melissa, or maybe they were just too busy working on their careers.It doesn't even matter. At least, all of her other friends showed up.
"Hey, Paigey!" Kendall says as she hugs Paige. Paige smiles in delight. Her voice must be weak. What am I saying? She, Paige Hyland, must be very weak. Her beautiful blonde hair has started to fall out. She looks..different. She'll always be beautiful to us ,though. Even Miss.Abby has a tear or two.
"Paige, I brought you something..." Abby says holding up a bag to Paige. She opens it. A charm bracelet, a purse, and a model of the moon. The charms are stars, moons, and the earth. The purse has the same designs as the bracelet. Paige smiles, and hugs Abby. Abby smiles,and hugs her," I just want you to know that we love you to the moon and back,Paige..."
