"C'mon Chloe , let's go," my mom says, quietly. " Kelly and Brooke need some time with her. "
My mom takes my wrist and we walk out of the door.She leads me out of the hospital and we drive back home.
I stare out of my bedroom . I play all of the memories that Paige and I made in that yard. Jumping into the fall leaves , the snowball fights, and most importantly...the first time she ever came to my house. We were three then, Brooke was five. Paige showed me a perfect chinstand, as mine...wasn't so perfect. I laugh to myself.... I'll never be the same.
"Chloe, come here...!" my mother yells from down stairs. I pop out of my day-dream, and run down the stairs. I wipe away that one tear, "Yeah, mom?"
She smiles and hugs me. I feel safe in her arms, "Come on , let's go."
She drives me to a little jewelry shop. It used to be mine and Paige's favorite store, next to Justice. We walk inside and Kamryn , the little old lady who owns the store, hugs me. She kisses me on my forehead. "Wait here..." my mom whispers to me. Her and Kamryn go and talk. I check my Instagram. I instantly check a comment that catches my eye..." Hey, Chlobird. I know Paige is going through difficult times. We're prayiing for her. TWINNIES FOREVER, the the moon and back. "
"Mom, can I get something?" I ask my mom. She nods, and laughs a little. I explain to her every little detail. Two halves of a heart, one says Paige, the other my name. pink and purple.Underneath of each of our names , it says "Twinnies To The Moon And Back. "
Kamryn says it will $50 , but my mom doesn't care. She knows how much Paige means to me. And this might be the last that I see of her. We never had personalized necklaces , just the ones from Justice or Claire's. She always wanted one from here, but Kelly could never afford it. When they are done , I smile at how perfect they are. I hug my mom and Kamryn.
"Come on , let's go so Paige!" I say , a little to excitedly. Who knows whats wrong right now. All I know is that Paige needs me, and I need to be there. She'll accept the gift. She'll say ,"Twinnies forever," in her little whisper.
My expectations were perfect. She did just as I thought. Brooke puts it on her , and smiles, "Perfect!"
The doctors come in and say they have something to tell me and Brooke...privately. I walk out of the room , and they tell me the worse news ever......She only has three hours to live.
