Everything seemed to be going well. Jamie was working part time during his days off as payment for taking Kate out on the whim.

Each passing moment seemed fun and even though Jamie had messed up orders, more times than he would like to admit, things in the shop seemed to be going well too.

"Stop!" Kate shouted at Jamie one morning.

"What?" He asked, a little startled by Kate's sudden exclamation.

"You're doing it wrong," She explained, he knew that everything had to be perfect in her shop, she went over to him after just serving a customer.

"Here, you do it like this." She grabbed the cup from his hands and placed it aside; grabbed a new cup and showed him how to pour it properly. She explained how if you made the tea and placed it in a clear teapot, then customers are able to see the tea change colours over time.

"Oh," rather than learning how to properly make tea, he was infatuated with her.

"Well, what are you staring at?" His vision focused to see an adorably annoyed Kate, her face scrunched up, "Take it over then."

"Yes boss," he chuckled and saluted. He loved seeing different sides to her, the different faces she made during the day, but his most favourite was when she was passionate about something.

Jamie couldn't describe what he was feeling, but it definitely was much stronger that anything he's ever felt before. He liked spending time with Kate so much that when he wasn't around her he felt an unbearable pain in his heart.

The day soon came to an end and as Kate was wiping down the table; she felt a hug attack her from behind.

"Hey, my two weeks are done." Jamie said, nuzzling his face into her bun.

"What are you doing here then?" Kate was defensive, she was attempting to wiggle out of his grasp, but his arms were locked around her like steel.

"I've come to take you away again, so then you make me stay here and work a few more weeks." he span her around so that she was facing him. He stared into her copper eyes.

"No, I refuse." She told him, before turning her back towards him, and resumed cleaning the tables. Her heart pounded, something about his hug made her feel so safe and secure, but she reminded herself that she had only known him for two weeks and for her to say that she was falling in love with him would be reckless.

"But-" he began, then didn't say anything more.

"But, what?" she walked over to another round wooden table and began spraying it down and wiping it with her cloth. She prayed to every God that was out there that he wouldn't say what she think he was going to say.

"I already bought the trip."

Crap. He did. She knew that he was going to say that because it was something he would do, it was reckless and selfish and she wouldn't be able to deny it.

"WHY?" she burst out, her tone of voice was more shock than anger, she knew that asking him why would not give her the answer. She quickly followed, "Why do you keep doing things that involve me without discussing with me first?"

She turned around and threw the wet cloth at him, hitting his muscular chest with it before abruptly falling to the ground.

"I didn't mean to upset you. I thought you would like it!" Jamie explained, angry at himself for making her upset.

"You didn't upset me, it's just that what if I don't want to go?" She cried. It was true. She spent so much time around Jamie, and she only met him a couple of weeks ago. She needed time alone to sort her self out and find out if her feelings towards him are good.

"Well if you don't want me to stay then why didn't you just tell me so?" Jamie asked. He's tried so much in efforts to please her but all she did was keep on pushing him out and treating him like crap.

"Fine, I will." She huffed. "I. Don't. Want. You. Here." She stated.

Jamie world came crushing down. He was so tired of trying to impress her when she clearly didn't want him there. He kept on spending time with her because he wanted to know if his feelings were actually something to act upon, but if he was going to rejected time after time then there was no point trying.

"That's all I needed to hear. See you around then." With that he left the café and drove off towards his house.

In all honesty, Kate didn't want him to leave- not at all- but everything happened so fast that she got carried away.

She resumed tidying up; trying to distract her from what just happened. Before she knew it her eyes swelled with tears and they were running down her face.

Before she knew it, she was sat on a table crying her eyes out, the tears fell fast and this time Jamie wasn't there to comfort her.

Meanwhile, Jamie sat in his car and processed what had just happened. He didn't mean to get her all upset. He wanted her to hug him and say thank you. Obviously she didn't.

He had changed since he had been with Kate: he had become less flirty with the people at his firm, started working more seriously and faster just so he could leave work earlier, and even stopped stressing as much as before because he was now working more efficiently.

He needed to get away from Mayfield as soon as possible and try and get Kate out his head.

He dialled a number on his phone.

"Hi Bethany. Long time no see."

"What do you want? Tom and I are watching a film."

"Not much. I just had a vision; you, me, sandy beach, and a beautiful sunset. How about it?"

"You put that in such a creepy way." She laughed, he hadn't changed at all, "Sure, but you'll be third wheeling, text me the details."

"I will, but I'm not paying for your boyfriend."

"Didn't expect you to anyway. Cheap skate."

Then Bethany hung up. He needed a distraction from Kate, and every time Bethany was always there for him when he need someone most, he needed some time with his best friend

... and her boyfriend.
