Blood, Yearning, And Its Repetitions: The Killing (A Fanfiction)

Nick's Dream pt. 2 (feel)

He woke up in a dream world.

As he opens his eyes, it wasn't darkness that he saw. But instead, he woke up and see himself lying in a field of colourful tulips. He was naked like before...

..and so was the bunny at the top of the hill.

Nick stood up, and he decided to see the bunny. He navigates himself around the thick flowers, and he reached the foot of the hill.

Nick slowly climbs up the hill, approaching the bunny. The bunny's ear caught Nick's footsteps.

"Sit down, Nick."

She made a gesture of patting the ground, urging Nick to sit down beside her. Nick sat down with his head on his knees, wrapping his tail around himself.

Who is this bunny?

"Umm-Judy?"

"Yes?"

So it is Judy.

He looked at her eyes to see if she is being herself or not. It wasn't red-reptilian, savage pair of eyes. It was crystal white, and her ever charming amethyst iris.

"Why are we.. here?"

"We are here because you are here."

"Here...where?" Nick tilted his head in confusion.

"Between life and death. Beautiful, isn't it?"

She gazed into the sunset on the never ending tulip field. He sighed and fixed his eyes on the same view.

"Couldn't agree more."

They went silent for a minute.

"Will I..come back to life?"

"You might, you might not."

Nick regretted shooting himself and looked for the nearest flower around. He found some and wanted to choke them, but he felt like he can't do it.

"You're too soft, but yet you're so full of ego and recklessness," the bunny chuckled.

"Was there anything I could do there? Other than what I just did?"

"No, you did the right thing."

"And it was to protect me. Only me. This wittle bunny of yours."

She gave him a nuzzle. He purred, thinking that he couldn't feel happier than now. They both looked at the sunset.

"I hope I'll see you soon in reality." Judy said.

"I sure hope so," he replied with a grim face.

Nick hugged her tight, tears flowing like a river. His heart ached even in the dream, not knowing if he can see her again in real life.
