Love's Extinction

Flashback

As we braced ourselves for the outside world my mind began to wonder and my most painful memory surfaced....

"So tell me about your self." I said smiling. " It doesn't matter I just want to hear you speak. I've been talking about myself all day. "

It was a Saturday weekend and this guy I had been talking to over Instagram for awhile finally came to see me. His name was Rashad and he was in the Marines and currently stationed in North Carolina, and came to see me.

" Well, umm where do I start...my birthday is Monday- " Rashad started.

I couldn't help but to stare at him he was everything I wanted in a guy from the looks to the personality. God I would kill to have him as my boyfriend one day.

" -And I'm currently in talking stage with this guy, I mean he isn't much but I'm attracted to him. " He said distantly.

"  Oh...so when did you start talking to him? "

" Last week. "

" Oh well, I'm a little tired text me okay? "

" Gotcha. "

I watched as he turned his car on and leave. My heart sagged a little but what could I do he was taken...or was he.

That night we talked for hours about our dreams and wants. In this few days I was drawn to him. I was falling for a taken man. The day of his departure back to his station he text me and told me that he wanted to be with his guy and was wrong to led me on. My heart ripped to shreds, I was speechless. I turned my phone off and stated at my ceiling. Tears painted my cheeks as I vowed to never fall in love again....never.

" Sebastian! " I heard Sam yell.

" Yeah? "

" Are you okay? You need to get your head together okay we're about to leave "

" Yeah I'm okay....ready? "

" Okay let's go. "

We all took a deep breath as Samantha open the door. The streets were silent now, nothing moved and nothing dared make a sound. I couldn't get Rashad out of my head. Why would he do that to me? I didn't do anything to anyone why would I deserve that? I needed to get myself together and quick....Rashad is the past I need to worry on the present Rico.

" Help! Can anyone hear me! Please I'm stuck help me! " We heard someone scream.

We hesitantly jogged to the source of the voice. Someone was trapped in their overturned car. Rico grabbed a rock nearest to him and broke the window and dragged out a man in a black hoodie. As the stranger thanked him and regained his footing he turned to face me and Samantha and found myself staring face to race with Rashad.
