We were tired and hungry, but we still continued to walk down the road. None of us said a word we were to afraid to speak. As we walked I could start making out a gas station coming up. I started pointing towards it and we all ran towards it. We burst into the store gasping for air. Several people turned around looking us up and down with faces that went from concern to disgust. Samantha pulled out her wallet.
“ I have 100 dollars from my allowance still.... we have to use it wisely. First we need to eat everyone get something to eat and meet me back at the cash register. ”
We nodded and went down different isles. I grabbed a bag of chips, a oatmeal pie, and coke and met everyone at the front. Samantha began paying for our things while me and Rico walked outside. We sat on the curb and watch the crack in the sky slowly grow.
“ Rico...in revelations it says the moon will turn red and the sun shall go black. The Gabriel will blow his trumpet and the sky will open.... Yesterday while we ran I noticed the moon turning orange... Do you know what this mean? ” I asked.
“ Yes. It means the world is coming to a end. ”
“ Do you think that if we would've turned our selves in this wouldn't have happened? ” I said pointing to the crack.
“ No...I believe even if we did die that night the world would have ended... because Satan dose not decides our time to die God does. ”
“ True. ”
“ But we mustn't focus on our deaths we need to focus on our survival until then. We are the lucky ones...Our friends are still there... and my-my brother is too. We have to survive for them. ”
I grabbed Rico's hand and laid my head on his shoulder.
“ Are y'all ready to go? ” Samantha asked walking from out of the store.
“ Yeah.” I said standing up.
“ The clerk inside gave me directions to the nearest motel we can crash there for awhile then after we rested talk about our next motive. ”
As Samantha said this I realized our incident from yesterday changed her from the preppy stereotypical white girl into this survival fighting woman. She handed out our food and as we ate we began walking towards the Motel. It took us a good hour in a half to make it. We checked in and got our room key and made our way to our room. The sun was just beginning to set and the crack was halfway across the sky. Me and Rico took a shower together while Samantha tried to pinpoint exactly where we were. As I got out I realized I still had my I phone 6 and hadn't checked sense yesterday. My phone had a full charge and was full of messages I sat down and began reading them. Most of them were from my mom asking how I was. Then I realized I had three voice messages. I began to play them.
Hey...Sebastian it's me Alex where are you guys. Everyone is looking for you call me back when you get this love you chow.
My heart grew warm with reassuring feeling that Alex was okay.
Heeeyyyyyy... Bastian Pooh it's me Ricky. *Laughs* I was wondering if you seen my brother hit me back if you have. Bye
I had completely forgot Ricky had my number and I would call him as soon as Rico got out so they could talk. I know Rico really wants to talk to him.
Hello Mr.Sanchez....
That voice....it belonged too Mrs. Sonya Samantha's mom.
I see my defiant daughter has told you our little secret here at Alpha Omega. You think you've gotten away well think again. We will find you and you will pay for the damage you've already created. Goodbye.
My skin began to crawl as she hung up. I rushed into the room where Samantha and Rico was sitting and played the voicemails over again. There was a long moment of silence and before anyone could speak a trumpet sounded overhead and the lights began to flicker and suddenly we was plunged into darkness.
